Cubs Player has Fellow Players Sign TCG Collection

Cub Player
Somebody on the Cubs has a special way to get autographs!

As reported by SB Nation and ESPN,  Chicago Cubs player Addison Russell,  is on a mission to get his Pokemon cards signed by everyone in the MLB.

Russell, one of the stars of the Cubs’ run to the World Series title last year, which broke a 108 year drought, started picking up the game as a way to connect with some of his younger family members who play the game, and has begun to ask other players to sign them.

According to him, he gets certain players to sign cards that he associates with their playing style. He says in the article that players are used to signing Baseball cards for fans, and believes it nice to give them a chance to change it up a little bit.

The players themselves agree, with one admitting that he thought it weird at first, but is glad that he’s found something that sets him apart from everyone else.

By the end of the season, Addison plans to have his whole binder signed to show his family, and will then leave his collection to his son.

It just goes to show another way that people can use Pokemon to connect and make memories.
