Some of them decided to just have fun playing Pokemon while others talked about Pokemon! In the end, we listen to these amazing Pokemon fans have fun producing a podcast about Pokemon! And there is a whole years worth to listen to!

So we decided to reach out to these amazing Podcast creators and ask them what was their favorite episode from 2019! Some of them even have some cool things to say about their favorite pick! So lets take a listen back at what amazing Podcasts we had the honor to listen to in 2019!

General Pokemon Podcasts

Luke Loves PokemonLuke Loves Pokemon: Jynx and Family
Luke: “I still think Jynx is my best episode this year. Other ones may have been more passionate or better edited, and the Gen 8 stuff has been exciting, but I feel like we actually did a difficult subject something close to justice, so I feel proud of the work there. Also, its kind of Christmas themed?”
MY FAVORITE POKEMONMy Favorite Pokemon: Shannon and Quagsire
Janine: “While many of our friends have been very old fans of Pokemon that are very in tune to all the games, Shannon has been a casual fan with a deep love for a Pokemon from afar. That’s the kind of fan we want to highlight and show that their engagement is just as valid as the 1990’s veterans. Pokemon is for everyone and every Pokemon is somebody’s favorite Pokemon.”
I Chews YouI Chews You: Gen 1 Finale
PXRMikey: It was a toss up between this one or the Best of Episode. In the end, it was best to suggest the potluck of different Pokemon! That way each ICY Host Chef could show off their unique talents in cooking while serving up a helping of great laughs.
PokeMomsAfter Darkrai: Pokemon Go Radio Cuboned Us
Bert: “Our episode #104 Pokemon Go Radio Cuboned Us is our most listened to episodes. Bret and Hannah welcome the PGR bros SALT and Nar to talk about all things Pokemon Go, the sad, sad Cubone line and much more.”
Victory RoadVictory Road: “Let’s Celebrate the Middle Children!”
Doug: “Our adventures on Victory Road take us all over. Sometimes we’re talking news — other times we’re exploring the spooky side of Pokemon or simulating a Royal Rumble. “Let’s Celebrate the Middle Children” is a perfect example! Why not give love to the ‘mons who don’t always get it?”

Anime Podcasts

Gotta Watchem AllGotta Watch’em All Podcast: Friend and Foe Alike!
Ken: “This was an important one as we saw Ash take a major defeat at the hands of Richie. We learn how much Ash has matured through his journey so far.”
PokePresPoke Press: Poke Press: Live Pokemon Music Discussion”
PXRMikey: One thing that you can always depend from PokePress is learning something new about Pokemon. In this case it is some live preformances involving the Pokemon franchise. Most people know about Pokemon Live musical but many may not know about the live performances from Australia. That was pretty cool.

Battling Podcasts

The Roaring TrainersSoundproof Podcast: Farewell Ultra Series!
Brandon and Jake: “This was an idea we had been sitting on for a few months and it really showcases our MO of bringing on an expert for a certain topic, plus it’s a pretty cool recap of the format we’ve been playing for the better part of a year.”

Pokemon GO Podcasts

Lured UPLured Up Podcast: Community with Liz George from Niantic
Ken: “This was an important episode as it was the first media appearance by the Niantic Global Community Manager for Pokémon GO, Liz George.”

Table Top Podcasts

Critical DittoPostcards from Pearl: My Guardian Shrangel
Jonah: “So it’s tough – it might be ep 11 – Love Hurts, but that definitely requires some more context from the rest of Save the Combees! ??. The best stand-alone ep might be ep 16 – My Guardian Shrangel! Also merry Christmas!!!”
Pokemon MilleniumAdventures in the Millennium: The Battle of Pal Park Peninsula
Tanner: “(This episode), It was our biggest fight at that point and everyone got something to do. Also, Pirates.”
Critical DittoCritical Ditto: Rain Dance #1
Critical Ditto Crew: “We launched in June, so the last 6 months have been the first of our Podcast. Looking back I’m so happy with how we introduce our gang and set up some really important things about the world straight out of the gate (The Church of SlaSlo came out of absolutely nowhere)! It’s always tricky getting started with a new story, but (hopefully) we set up some really interesting world aspects, characters and relationships that have launched us into an exciting world of possibilities.

Episode 1 lays the foundation for the epic fights, goofy fun and character interactions that follow it. You always remember where you start out, and Ep 1 will hold the same sentimental value for me going forward as any Pallet Town, Twinleaf Town, Littleroot, Postwick etc.”

Pokemon SeichoPokemon Seicho: King of Ghosts
Pokemon Seicho Gang: “(Any of)…Season 3, the newest episodes. I think the 30 min episodes really give it that anime feel.”
PXRMikey: The thirty minute format has really made this podcast fun to watch! It sticks true to the podcast’s idea of feeling like an anime while also making the episodes easy and quick to listen.

I hope you all enjoy this little walk down memory lane for the year 2019. We featured as many podcast as we can.
