Champions for North America Internationals Crowned!

It was a huge weekend in Indianapolis as Pokemon trainers from around the world gathered to be the best!

This past weekend of June 30th to July 2nd marked the first ever North America International Championships. This was the final chance for Pokemon players to go earn their invite for Worlds 2017. This tournament also marked the first International in North American. You bet there were players from around the world there! If you went to the event then you got to meet players from Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Netherlands!

There were over 1400 players at NA Internatiaonls but only a few could be crowned champion in the TCG and VGC. Below are the winners!

  • VGC Masters Champion: Christopher Kan (Australia)
  • VGC Senior Champion: Alfredo Chang-Gonzalez (Australia)
  • VGC Junior Champion:  Nicholas Kan (Australia)
  • TCG Masters Champion: Tord Reklev (Norway) (Playing Garbodor-Drampa GX)
  • TCG Senior Champion: Michael Long (Canada) (Playing Greninja BREAK)
  • TCG Junior Champion: Regan Retzloff (US) (Playing Rainbow Force Xerenas)

Congratulation to these awesome players who battled hard to earn these titles! Also, great job to those who attended and played at NA Internationals. The event was truly an international event. This event was only a prelude and you can Worlds 2017 be bring even more great battles! Best of luck to everybody who is going to Anaheim!
