It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for Crossroads Comics!
This week we’re taking a look at PMD: Tales of Elysium. This has been a comic I’ve been meaning to highlight for a long time. It’s a very unique take on the PMD universe as a whole, with an entirely original concept and an interesting set of worldbuilding continually established throughout the story. Split into Volumes, Volume 1 started out lighthearted but eventually became more serious as it neared its end. Volume 2, which just recently began, started out a bit more serious and has stuck with that tone for a while. The art style is breathtaking and beautifully done. The characters are also very memorable even if they only appear for a short period of time. There’s also a lot of mysteries laid out for this series as readers try to figure out what Elysium is, how Leon connects to it, and what the book is for. While some of these are starting to be answered in Volume 2, it’s also bringing a lot more questions along with these answers. Overall, a very good comic and definitely worth binging if you have the time.
