It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for Crossroads Comics!
This week we’re taking a look at Winter Moon. This comic is a long running Webtoons series that follows a group of friends and their adventures in an Online RPG called Magnolia Online. Florence is a sorcerer with fire power like no other and Risa is a gold digging priestess with strong healing abilities. When their paths cross, they, along with several others including the knight Gideon, the fighter Bob, and the druid Easen, form a guild known as Winter Moon. Despite its length, the story is easily bingeable due to the shorter length of its strips. While the story may appear to be just another play on the online RPG gimmick started by Sword Art Online, Winter Moon distinguishes itself by categorizing its protagonists as anti-heroes or even outright antagonists in the eyes of the other characters. The dislike for their guild becomes a major plot point later down the line that makes for a very interesting karma arc, showing the characters can’t just get off scotch free for some of their less than good actions. Overall, it’s a very fun read, so if you need a long comic to binge, be sure to check it out.
