“Flowers” Teased in Pokemon’s Future

Floette
The Pokémon Company International’s Director of Consumer Marketing J.C. Smith dropped a hint about the future of Pokemon while in Boston for the 2015 Worlds Tournament.

During an interview with Nintendo World Report, Smith was asked to give a cryptic tease concerning the future of Pokemon. Below is an insert of the interview:

NWR: “And last but not least, can you just throw a cryptic word out there? Just anything. Something will get me to scratch my head. That, like, in eight months I’ll go, ‘That’s what he was talking about!’”

Smith: After a pause, “Flowers.”

Flowers confirmed for Gen 7? Kanto Confirmed? Are we going to be playing Pokemon Rose and Daisy next? Maybe not.

If you recall, AZ had a Floette that played a huge role in Pokemon XY. Thanks to hackers, we can see that it is possible to obtain a Floette with the Eternal Flower (ask pictured above). Perhaps we will finally receive this though a distribution event or possibility a new game involving this well known and unique Floette.

Currently there is no new main series game for 2016. I guess we will just have to wait at least eight months to see how “Flowers” will relate to Pokemon.
