Mmm, sounds like you had MUCH better teachers than I did. We wasted a lot of time on stupid stuff in my foreign language classes.

It was teaching us the wrong ways to form sentences and to use clauses and such in the wrong way. My mom had a friend who was fluent in French look over the textbook and they both agreed it was wrong in a lot of places.

It's just terrible when a textbook is wrong isn't it? That's why they should be updated more often then they actually do.

One of the DUMBEST things I've ever read in a textbook was in one for Java programming:

"When you 'surf the net,' the Internet is the net you are surfing."

Omg. Yes, I totally forgot I was only four years old and still learning that cows go moo and chickens go cluck cluck cluck. What a stupid waste of money that book was.
