I never played the first Splatoon game and I feel like I missed out on something good. I like seeing new ideas like this come about and have potential to become long-running franchises.

Neo, you had one job! One job! All jokes aside, you really should play it at least once. I love this game so much and I wish I had the time/decent Wi-Fi connection to play this game often. And to be fair, I wasn't a fan of Splatoon for the longest time basically for the fact that I had no idea what the game even was until the Splatoon direct that was released a month before the game. Heck, I even bought the Inkling amiibos and ordered the green Squid amiibo off of Amazon. Thank you, Splatoon Direct! :)

If I had a Wii-U, I'd definitely check it out. It looks like crazy, goofy fun and I've heard good things about it.

Unfortunately, from past experiences, I definitely know that Nintendo only does what it wants to do and not what its fans want it to do. And when fans get impatient and just do their own thing, Nintendo even decides to step in and stop that.

Let's just hope these ideas just happen to also be things they want to do also.

There's no denying that. Its always been ironic to me that as wild and crazy as Nintendo is, they're very stubborn and stagnant at the same time... (although that has changed as of late) if you catch my drift. But you're right. I'm really hoping that they'll start to listen to the voice of the fans going forward.

Although really disappointed the retail price in Australia is $470. T^T

That's insane. PS3 didn't sell well in the United States for the first year or so... hell, maybe even the first two years, so I know it DEFINITELY didn't sell well in Australia at that price.
