In a different language

Have you ever joined someplace online in a different language even if you might not understand? Or do you know other languages?

I actually just joined a Team Rocket fan site the only issue is it's in French. xD I know basic French, German and Japanese from high school and college. Along with learning Japanese from both Pokemon and wrestling.

Ooh that's cool Caite. Is it hard to understand what's going on? I've never tried joining a different language site but it seems interesting.

Yes and no because I've got Google translator on so it will automatically translate anything that's not English.

I've only posted once so far. I know some boards are picky about languages. And I don't mean the members themselves it's the forum software that's picky.

As I wrote in my introduction thread (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/for...p?13010-Hello-!), I joined PXR to improve my English (among other reasons). So far, I think it works. :)

@Caite-chan, that's so cool that you joined that French-speaking Team Rocket fan site! If you need help with French, please feel free to contact me, as it's my mother language.

When you talk to us here do you use a translator or is it because the forums are in English in the first place everything is translated? Because honestly had you not said anything I wouldn't have known because it looks that good.

PXR is not translated, it is displayed in English on the screen of my laptop. I use a translator when there is a word I don't understand, or when I want to use a word in a message but I don't know how to say it in English.

I'm not sure about you but I use Chrome and anything that's not English will ask me if I want to translate the word or the whole page. With the French Team Rocket site I'm on now I'm not sure if any or all I say in English will translate to French for them.
