    Weekly Art Prompt Thread

I know there was an old one somewhere, but I'm too lazy to dig it up. Also I'm going to do this a little differently.

Every week I'll post five different prompts. You may select as many of them to do. You may mix them. They can be sketches or finished drawings. These are purely for your entertainment. I will change them up every Sunday.

    - Pokemon of the Week: A randomly selected Pokemon
    - Type of the Week: A randomly selected Pokemon type (For those who want to do re-types or fusion ideas!)
    - Environment Prompt
    - Object Prompt
    - Situation Prompt

    Week One - January 21st 2018
    Spoiler:
    Pokemon of the Week: Pachirisu
    Type of the Week: Fighting
Environment Prompt: At night, the neon signs light up the Japanese side-street
Object Prompt: A fine weapon. It should suit your needs well.
Situation Prompt: The hooded figure stood in front of the fire

    Week Two - January 28th 2018
    Spoiler:
    Pokemon of the Week: Xurkitree
    Type of the Week: Steel
Environment Prompt: A quaint street of a small European town
Object Prompt: A pocketful of gold.
Situation Prompt: Picking a fight with someone way bigger

    Week Three - February 4th 2018
    Spoiler:
    Pokemon of the Week: Silvally
    Type of the Week: Poison
    Environment Prompt: Marshland
    Object Prompt: Rabbits foot
Situation Prompt: A sting operation at the post office

    Enjoy!

I agree, this is pretty awesome for ideas! :3

I may be crazy, but I'm actually going to go for all five, all rolled into the same image. I already have a sketch of my hooded fighting-type Pachirisu with a katana off to a good start. XD

As much as I'd love to keep going with the background, my head's starting to hurt. XD

THAT IS AMAZING NEO! Wow you are really great at backgrounds even if you didn't get to finish it. :) Fighting Pachirisu looks great and so does that Bunnelby in the background, aww <3 Did you write the Japanese by hand? *wonders what it says*

I did a quick one for the theme, just doing the hooded figure in front of a fire part as I liked the sound of it.

I did learn how to draw fires so that was something. xD

And here's an edit just for fun. XD Drawing in the fire was hard but you could make some really cool things with it if you got good at it!

Holy shiznit, Sarah, those flames are amazing! Very, very nicely done!

I'll admit, I did do the Japanese signs by hand, basically googling "Tokyo streets" and looking at the image results. I then copied the Kanji characters by hand from some of the store signs in the image results, but yeah, I have no clue what they actually say. XD

It was also fun to make this whole retype of Pachirisu. I really like how this dude came out! And yeah, I added the Bunnelby as kind of a last minute thing, but that little dude was fun to draw, also.

Haha thanks xD It was pretty simple following the tutorial.

Wow nice! I actually thought all the signs except the largest one looked they might have been a font... They're so neat! :O

Woah! Those are neat, Neo and Sarah! =D

I love that you combined all of the prompts, Neo- and that you actually did the background. City settings are so difficult to draw!

And that fire looks great, Sarah! I love the simplicity of your drawings. Sometimes that's all the prompt needs. =D

    New prompts:

    Pokemon of the Week: Xurkitree
    Type of the Week: Steel
Environment Prompt: A quaint street of a small European town
Object Prompt: A pocketful of gold.
Situation Prompt: Picking a fight with someone way bigge

Yeah, city backgrounds aren't easy but once the idea of the layout popped into my head, I wanted to keep going. And there were a few times when I had to pull back and redesign some of the background stuff.

Again, I think I'll try to go for all five. The idea of Xurkitree getting attacked by a gang of Steel type Pokemon bandits in the middle of Bruges popped into my head and I just can't let that go to waste now! XD

I don't even know what a Xurkitree is. XD

I never thought I would reach this moment.

    Darn, I'm getting old.
