"I'll never talk, there is no way you're finding out ..."

Matthias' Poketch let out a buzz and the told the Galactic grunts exactly where the rest of the team was.

"So like I was saying, their on Route 203."

Then thankfully he realised he wasn't alone. Renny, wonderful Renny was here to help. Matthias always knew he could trust Renny. As Renny called out to the Galactic grunts, Matthias kept running his mouth.

"Oh heck, No! That's Renny now you are all in big trouble! He is the baddest most ferocious...." he started to say to say to the Galactic grunts, as Renny talked.

"Hang on, did he just call me a 'Petty Thief? You know what, just take me with you, I'm done with this wannabe film maker. Don't let him film you, he'll put on TV, without getting consent"(he shouted that last bit towards Renny). He then whispered to the grunt holding his arm. "If anything 'unfortunate' were to happen to his camera, I'll back you up in saying it was an accident!"

While Dartrix had been out the whole walk from the restaurant, since the explosion, Palila had thrown out all her pokemon.
This was the point. Pokemon training was for protection. To protect people.
This was part of why she started her trainer journey.
The pokemon seemed to feel this, and while the smokescreen was around, kept their wings still but puffed themselves up bigger, ready to intimidate.

The air swirled with energy, and her pokemon seemed to grow a little tougher, harder, more determined.
With a beat of huge wings, the smoke cleared. A huge black charizard. An absolute monster.
And that energy that seemed to be in the air? With a flash of light, that energy caused a MEGA EVOLUTION.
"Oh... thats a .... thats.." Palila and all her pokemon looked up at the huge creature that had landed in the group.
It roared. Her pokemon wilted, and shot her a glance.
"...We can't beat this!!"
Part of being 'streetwise' meant that she knew when it was time to get the heck outta dodge.

As the dragon landed and mega evolved, Amy’s blood ran cold. Fear caused her heart to seize up and she grabbed her chest in pain as it became harder to breathe. Crap first Neith had a panic attack and now she was having one. The one time she didn’t have her medication around to calm her nerves. It was still in the drawer on her nightstand if she had to guess. Amy began to gasp for air, unable to breathe as the memories of megas destroying entire cities on the news ran rampant in her mind. She heard Palila shout something along the lines of this thing being unbeatable and she was probably right. How could she beat it if she couldn’t even look at it without suffocating.

Just then, two of her pokeballs burst open, Terry and Hunter appearing at her side. They offered their hands/flippers to her, confident expressions on their faces. “You think we can do this?” Amy wheezed. The two water types looked at each and then Martini. There was a collective shaking of heads. “Then why?” They stared at Amy in silence and she suddenly got it. “Right, we don’t have a choice. Okay.”

Taking the appendages outstretched to her, Amy continued to wheeze as she stood up. Calling out the rest of her team, Amy stepped forward. “We may not be able to win, but we at least have to try. Together maybe we can weaken it enough to enable our escape. It’s the only shot we’ve got.” She looked at her teammates and nodded to them. Hunter nodded back before charging in, the rest of her team following.

Amy returned each of her team members to their pokeballs and ducked for cover while the Mega Charizard X was still preoccupied with the webby string shots. She looked at the others and pumped her fists. Despite visibly shaking all over and still wheezing, “Okay guys! I’ve done some damage! It’s up to you to do the rest!”

Palila clenched her fists, and looked over at everyone else in the group. Things were not going well, and it didn't really seem like anyone else wanted to battle either. However, Amy had stepped up to the plate. She bit her lip, and looked down at her team.
"Okay, who volunteers to fight this monster? And who volunteers to go beat up the trainer?"
Her team turned to each other, and split neatly down the middle.
"Alright! Go Staravia, Dartrix! Swift through the forest- check on people and find someone whose butt we CAN kick!" She pointed them into the forest and up the path- away from the Charizard, towards where the initial blast had come from. They took off with all too much enthusiasm. Palila breifly wondered if they would ever come back, or if that was goodbye.

Looking accross to Amy, who had finished her battle and was now hiding behind a rock wheezing something encouraging, Palila stepped forward. If nothing else, there was some value in being a distraction.
"Right, Wingull and Prinplup, its time to go toe to toe!"

"C'mon, c'monnn...." She couldn't see anything yet, so she looked around at the group of trainers.
"We need more time! Someone else needs to battle, while one of us calls the cops!"

The grunt laughs at Renny, and Matthias' commentary of the situation.

"I don't think you understand how a deal works. You do something for us, we do something for you." The grunt explains, "So far you haven't offered anything, but are demanding we let him go and answer your questions?"

The grunt laughs again at Renny.

"Besides, we were told to bring all of you in. So we will, one way or the other." the grunt continues, "If you have something to offer, best do it now."

Two of the other grunts, make their way either side of Renny.

William's brain caught up to the situation as he held his pose. The guy he thought was Matthias was Pali, and wanted to fight him, maybe. Neith seemed like a friendly face, but then someone -- she'd been called Kinnie -- stepped forward to be stern. Then everything broke into bickering, with all parties mentioned arguing about identification. William had his Scout membership card, he thought, and he made a grab for it, ready to launch into a rehearsed introduction.

That was when the blast hit Sophie.

Immediately, two trainers were on her. He knew the thing about "too many chatots in a kitchen." There was nothing William could do for her, except maybe step up and try to be a good leader in her absence. Heck, maybe he could even get a promotion! (Ignoring the fact that he had not really been the quickest draw.)

"We protect the things that can't be replaced! Bibarel, let's go!"

He was finally gonna get in on the team for real! William threw a Pokeball into the smoke that suddenly filled the vicinity.

"Hey, what--"

donk, donk, donk, went the balls of the others, as they released Pokemon in turn.

And then, as soon as the smoke appeared, it had cleared, revealing only an incredible Pokemon. It was a monster that left William too stunned to do anything but shriek. That's what attacked Sophie?!

Bibarel, however took this as a war-cry, and, following suit of the other Pokemon around it, charged screaming into the fray, ready to do battle with the Shiny-Holo-Mega-Charizard-X.

First Amy, and then Rae had stood up to the monster. Even the new guy whose name was still unknown had sent a pokemon after it.
They had all fallen.
But they had all tried.

It was strange. Neith’s feeling had gone through terror and out the other side, and she felt strangely calm.
All she could do now was add to the distraction. If they annoyed it enough, maybe it would leave?
And Mega Evolution took it’s toll, if they could drag out this battle long enough…

Stepping out from her hiding place, Neith released most of her pokemon, keeping Phalanx safe in his ball.

Fennel ducked behind Neith’s legs as she saw the enemy looming before them, while Nemesis and the un-named Shinx stood in battle-ready stances. Butterscotch just stood there like a plush toy.

“None of you have to fight. But it’s either fight here or run. I’m going to stay here and fight, and at least cause a distraction so the others can get away.”

The unnamed Shinx nodded at her in acceptance. Nemesis was practically pulling at the metaphorical lead to go fight the Mega, and Butterscotch slowly blinked at her, which Neith took as a sign of agreement.
With a nod from Neith, the pokemon began their assault.

Nemesis flew into the air, dragging Butterscotch along, then with the momentum slingshotted the Bidoof at the Charizard. Neith watched in horror for a few moments, but the Bidoof bounced off the dragon without a scratch on it, and rolled a safe distance away, getting stuck on it’s back between a few rocks, legs slowly moving as if it were trying to walk.
Nemesis came as close to a shrug as a bird can, before swooping in herself. But alas, her darting bows didn’t even leave a scratch.
Nemesis got more and more forceful with her attacks, barely dodging the Charizard’s reactions.

Meanwhile, the Shinx run at the Charizard, hitting it with a spark, but was swiped aside by a flick of the dragon’s mighty tail.

Seeing the others falling, Fennel seemed to steel herself stepping out from behind Neith and adding to the attacks, but her embers appeared not even to tickle the titan before them. With another beat of it’s wings, the Charizard sent Fennel flying back into the rock where Binary still waited, trying to push past Neith and join the battle.
“No, Bi, you have to stay here. You can’t fight in that body.”

Nemesis was the last one standing. With each ally the fell, her attacks became more desperate, her movements faster, until it looked like her whole body was glowing. The Neith realised that she was glowing. Nemesis’s wings expanded, body stretching, until a Starly not longer hovered there, but a Staravia.

Alas, this moment of victory was short lived. Unused to her new size, Nemesis misjudged her next assault, and with a backhand swipe Nemesis joined her comrades on the ground.

Marina watched with wide eyes from behind the rock as the other trainers began sending their pokemon to battle the giant beast that had appeared before them. One by one, the pokemon fell, and Marina couldn't help but wince each time the Charizard retaliated. It was so strong...How could they possibly beat something of this size and strength?

Yet all of these trainers were charging in, trying to defeat this thing and protect each other. Marina had to do her part...She couldn't sit idly by. Her pokemon seemed to sense her determination, and she released Eider. The Staravia spread his wings, puffing out his feathers to seem more threatening as Kai and Arc sprinted into the fray.

"I'm sorry...I'll make sure to tend to your injuries after. Please be as careful as you can." Marina looked up to the Staravia that sat on her shoulders. He nodded, flapping his wings once and letting out a piercing cry before diving towards the Mega Charizard as well.

They had done their best. Marina could feel tears burn softly in her eyes as she withdrew her pokemon back into their pokeballs, holding them close to her as she murmured a soft "I'm sorry..." to each of them before looking up to the trainers around her.

"I've done what I can!"

Kinnie found herself scrambling after the explosion hit. It had only thrown her back slightly, but she had met with a stone which drove itself into her forearm. She clenched her teeth as she stared at the smouldering target on the ground. What in the world had that been?

Her eyes followed the trail back to a man standing atop a ledge some distance away. It was hard to make out details, especially as the charred spot on the ground continued releasing smoke and dust, but she could tell that there was a human wielding some sort of weapon. And, for some reason, this weapon had been aimed at Sophie specifically. Her mind raced as she thought up possible reasons: perhaps this was the leader of Team Galactic, a people she once thought comprised a water polo team, who had learned Sophie's identity upon watching the news video. She took note of the fact that this man had shown up directly after the two new arrivals had made themselves present, and wondered if her initial theory had been correct and they were also working for Team Galactic. Had that been the case, however, she also noted that the leader seemed to care little for the safety of his minions.

Kinnie's gaze snapped to Sophie as she began screaming in agony. She was groaning through clenched teeth as her arm sizzled from the explosion. Tony rushed to help her, followed by the new girl. Then, from near the mysterious man atop the cliff spawned an enormous draconic beast covered in black scales with a tail tipped with fire. Only seconds later, it underwent a transformation augmenting its body so it was even bigger, had a greenish tinge, and began spewing blue flames. Kinnie felt her stomach turn and her heart hammer in her rib cage as she clambered towards the nearby bramble.

Most of her team members attempted then to battle the beast, attacking it with water, electricity and anything else at their disposal. One by one, the pokemon all dropped as if they were raindrops being flung from clouds. They hurdled to the ground, unconscious and unable to battle. The girl looked back to the cliffside, but the man had disappeared. Fear coloured her mind and tugged at her stomach as she glanced around frantically, trying and failing to spot him. She looked back to the dragon pokemon, watching as it shot fire and batted away pokemon with its tail. She already knew that her team would be ineffective against it the same way her fellow teammates' parties were. The bellowing airborne beast was also only an instrument, and someone needed to deal with the musician. Provided she could find him.

Kinnie scrambled through the brush, trying to remain hidden as best she could. She began making her way in the direction that the man had been, keeping an eye out for when he came into view. Perhaps she could disable his arm. Whatever she did, it would need to be well executed.

Renny looked at Matthias shaking his head. His attempt to devalue the trainer to possibly get him freed had not only failed but it had offended him. Looking at back the grunts.

"Information is power." He said sure of himself.

" The new pokenavs can track wormholes. If they can do that, they should be able to track legends. So the deal is this we can share info on legends and you can use my tip about wormholes to find new pokemon. Clearly you have the resources to do something more than kidnapping. " renny said hoping the tip about the wormholes would be enough.

Drake took a deep breath as he sat back up looking around. He was confused as to what was going on. Instead of turning his attention he turned it towards Tony who was helping Sophie. Drake rushed over through the choas of the battle.

"We need to get her clear of this. Once we do I have some Berry ointment that should be able to help." He said helping the others get Sophie quickly to a safe distance.

Drakes was shakey as he looked back.
" the battle is not going well." He said stressed

He tried to focus at the task at hand. His hands shook as he cleared through his bag looking for the natural burn cream he had made.

"I hope you dont mind." Drake said to Tony.

Once he found it he applied it to the areas.
" Ive tried this once I know it works on pokemon it should helo the skin heal and take the edge off the pain. Again its meant for pokemon but it should help you too."
