Those going to Anime Expo will get an early showing of the newest Pokemon movie!
Anime Expo has announced that they will host an exclusive screening for the newest Pokemon movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution. This screening will also include a question and answer session with Directors Kunihiko Yuyama & Motonori Sakakibara and Ash’s Japanese voice actress Rica Matsumoto. She is also well known for singing several of the opening theme songs for Pokemon including the first one, Aim to be a Pokemon Master.
The screening will be a subtitled version of the 22nd movie featuring all the Japanese voices and soundtrack. This will be the first time in the twenty three years of the anime that the anime will be shown with a Japanese dub and English subtitles. The Pokemon Company has never, if rarely, acknowledged that the anime is produced in Japan. Many Pokemon fans who are going to see the screening of Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will be hearing the Japanese voice of Ash for the first time.
