Whoever came up with Gigantamax has definitely been watching too many Godzilla movies. XD

I can see Protect/Detect being the ultimate buzzkill to a G-Max move, though. XD

In the end, aren't we all just reliving Godzilla movies?

I see your point but I fee like G-Max moves acting like Z-Moves when it comes to interacting with Protect/Detect. They will still work but will only minimize a little bit of the damage.
