Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Level 5 Raid.

fter Mewtwo leaves Raid Battles on Monday, the Legendary Pokémon Giratina Altered Forme will replace it until October 17th 2019 at 20:00 UTC. With this, Giratina Altered Forme’s Shiny variant will be available.
This announcement seems to imply that several other Sinnoh legendaries will be returning to raids soon as well, so hopefully we can see other shiny variants of these legendaries in the future.
