Time to battle your way to become a Pokken World Champion!
The details for the 2020 Pokkén Tournament Championship Series has been announced! Players from around the world will be able to battle it out for a spot in the 2020 Pokken Tournament World Championships in London, England.
Qualifying for the Pokkén Tournament World Championships

In order to qualify for the Pokken Tournament World Championships, players can compete at four different events. If they do well at one of these events then they will earn themselves a spot in the World Championships for Pokken.
Below are the four events that players can compete in to earn a spot in the Pokken Tournament World Championships.

North America International Championships Location TBD June 26-28
Last Chance Qualifier London, England Date TBD
Each event will have two age divisions for Masters and Seniors. Masters will be players who are born after 2005. Meanwhile, Seniors will be made up of anybody born after 2004.
A total of sixteen players will make up the Masters division at the Pokken World Tournament while eight players will make up the Junior division. This number will be made up of two Masters and one Senior from the Oceania International Championships, four Masters and two Seniors from the Europe International Championships, and four Masters and two Seniors from the North America International Championships. Meanwhile, 2019 Pokkén Tournament World Champion Hiroki “Subutan” Ishida will take up a spot in the Master bracket. Lastly, the reminder of the players will be coming from Japan and the Last Chance Qualifier.
If you want to enter the Last Chance Qualifier at Worlds then you will need to register early. Only 256 players will be allow to compete in both the Masters and Seniors division.
To Compete

If you wish to compete in the Pokken Tournament World Championships then you will need to be able to fight in the Team Battle format. This format requires players to choose three Pokemon. They will then need to knockout all three members on their opponent’s team.
You will also need to bring your own wired HORI Pokkén Tournament Pro Pad or a wired HORI Nintendo Switch Pokkén Tournament DX Pro Pad.
