It’s Tuesday which means it’s time for Crossroads Comics!

This week we’re taking a look at The Power of Pouvoir. This comic is an Omega Ruby nuzlocke where the Pokémon are the main characters. It takes place in the same universe as the Mystery Dungeon games, and thus Pokémon from all the regions form teams to complete various tasks, from rescuers to gym challengers, there’s a lot of ways to become stronger. So that’s what our heroes, Blake, Charlie, and Milo, decide to do. The trio forms two Challenge Teams and prepare to take on the Hoenn League as Teams Pouvoir and Team Pride. However, as if this weren’t challenging enough, they each have a disability that makes battling more difficult for them. Blake has joint pain, Charlie has no sense of smell, and Milo is nearly blind. Despite this, the three will come together with their new teammates to preserver beyond their weaknesses.
The Power of Pouvoir is a cute little comic that blends the PMD world with the world of the main series games quite well. The worldbuilding of the teams is very interesting and battling for gym badges is handled a bit differently than in the normal games. I also find it very interesting that things like Pokéballs and Pokédexes still exist and have functionality in the world. The technology is woven almost seamlessly into the story and helps solve some of the problems that might exist without their presence. The characters are a lot of fun too. I especially love Michael, he’s just so lovable!
So be sure to check out this week’s featured comic as well as the rest of the comics included in this week’s lineup! Especially PMD: Crossroads since it just updated for the first time in a few months!
