Brandon got angry at being trapped again, he couldnt move, paralized, when Rocky taunted the grunts Brandon joined "You guys are the biggest hippocrits and fools I have seen in my life! You wannabe hooligans had your golbat hit us and that hiker out there with a confuse ray... That sounds more dangerous to me then my marshtomp giveing you a gentle love tap in the faces with his tail... Now you guys are cowards, you have your petty traps do all the work for you, you know damn well if the trap hadnt been here, me and Rocky here would have kicked your butts... Cowards... Wont fight us 1 on 1 but use petty traps... " *Brandon rolled his eyes in disgust* "also I would not join your stupid pathetic group if you paid me! YOU SUCK!"

Suddenly an ear peircing screech hit air, Brandon's ears immdeaitelly deaf from it, then it stopped and a couple minute later, his ears recovered enough to hear, but they still throbbed.

Meghan had barely recovered from the deafening screech when the grunts came at them more aggressively.

"Its not that we're not creative...its that you morons are attacking us and expecting good humor from us. If you wanted to show us something why go about it this way!" Meghan growled confused by the Rockets actions.

"If you recall child..it was you who attacked us...twice!" The grunt who Rocky had hit called out.
"TWICE!!! Both we were doing nothing to you and you psychically attacked us or had your pokemon attack us! The truth is dont even care about you...We're trying to trap that pain in the *** Max and stumbled into our way twice."

"Since its clear he isnt around we are just going to go ahead with our plan....."


Cassidy interrupted.
"I got it from here...sit down before you hurt yourself."

Cassidy pulled out the crystal amber.
"Now that, since none of you were curious. This crystal amber has the power to bring back a long dead pokemon...now while we may not have that equipment yet...we have figured out a way to use the ambers energy to create an energy signal."

Butch held up a strange device.
"This is the Thomas Scanner Model 2.0. This little device was created to analyze fossils to find similar traces of energy. Which lead us here! See the Ice Chamber and the Clefairy meteorite were only a small fraction of things this mountain house. This mountain also houses one of Gaia's greatest secrets. Years ago a legendary pokemon escaped through these tunnels...until it was woken it had been using the cavern has a nest on and off for millions of years. Its incredible power had frozen all the pokemon that had crossed through here at any one...As the mountain continued to form the once exposed frozen pokemon were slowly sealed into a living tomb where they have remained untouched!" Butch laughed


"We will be the first people since the age of the dinosaur to see these pokemon..these pokemon are not revived they are pure!!! they will be worth millions!!!" Cassidy laughed

The two lead Rocket's continued their monologue, although all Rocky heard was "Blah Blah Blah, we are cowardly thieves who won't actually battle". He was about to make some mocking comment about a pack of supposed trainers who were too scared to fight, but then he heard Cassidy say something about bringing live dinosaurs back to life. That was actually a really cool idea.

"That actually sounds like a clever idea." Rocky paused as he realised that it might have sounded that he was on the Rockets' side. "It will probably fail because this pack of cowards who won't stand up to proper battle, don't have the courage for it. But imagine it, real live dinosaurs. You could have your own 'Jurassic Safari'."

He stopped and looked at Butch and Cassidy appraising them for a moment and then continued. "You will need to find someone a bit more 'TV handsome' than, moron here though", he said indicating Butch. "Female moron is probably almost pretty enough, if you could get rid of that vacant 'I'm-too-stupid-to-breathe' look from her eyes, and fix that horrible hair. Also how would you feel about losing at least 40 pounds?"

Cassidy huffed and puffed.
"How rude...but none the less a feeble attempt to distract us." Cassidy turned towards the grunts.
"Its time to we bring in are secret weapon."

Butch seemed a little nervous stepping back. He waved his hands to get the kids pulled back. He lifted up the pokeman and nervously tossed it. Cassidy called in extra grunts with ropes.

The creature that appeared made Brocks Onix look like a baby. IT was at least twice the size and glimmered in the light.



Cassidy held the ball.
"King, you are ours now. We are your masters and you will do as we see fit!" She screamed. The grunts rushed over throwing the ropes around the massive creature. Cassidy reached for an all ballpokemon calling out a pokemon that did not belong to her.

"Slammers help them out."


Rusty appeared but it seemed slight off. A little confused but it listend to the trainer helping direct the grunts who were now forcing the creature to line up. The grunts seemed to be using specialized ropes that were sending out electric shocks forcing the in pain creature to ram into the wall. It felt like all of Mount Moon shook with just one hit. The second and third hits made small bits of rock crumble from the ceiling.

Alice listened intently but still stayed quiet. She couldn't help but feel excited about the idea of seeing fossil Pokemon, perhaps some that had never been discovered before. Having them in the hands of Team Rocket was not an option though.

Her father had similar technology to the device Cassidy was holding. The version her father had wasn't always accurate, and although it was supposed to differentiate between rock and fossil, there had been multiple occasions where her father's team had dug for weeks to find that the scanner was reacting only to a strangely-shaped rock or crevice which amplified nearby signals.

Alice knew that it could be easy to give in to the desire to exploit Pokemon. Her own father had trouble when he first discovered Tyrunt. He was offered millions for the fossil, and then for the revived Pokemon, from people who wanted to collect it or show it off or make money. That money would have kept her father's research group funded for decades, made sure their family had a stable life in Kalos. In the end, her father set up a breeding program and began distributing the Tyrunt to trainers and gym leaders across the world for free. He wanted to make sure that they weren't so rare that people would try to catch, hurt or smuggle them to make some quick money. What Team Rocket was planning was unforgiveable.

Alice was surprised when Butch released the strange-coloured Onix. It seemed to take the combined forces of all the grunts to keep it under control. Alice felt horrible for the Pokemon that was clearly distressed. There seemed to be plenty of other Pokemon which could have dug through this rock. Why had they needed this Onix that they clearly couldn't control?

"You're going to destroy them!" Alice yelled over the noise of the Onix crashing and rocks slamming into the ground. "Even if you find a fossilised Pokemon, what are you going to do?! The technology to revive Pokemon is complicated. All you'll have is a pile of rocks! And the way you're going, you're going to crush them all to dust!"

Alice felt helpless. She wished her Pokemon were stronger so that she could show these guys a thing or two.

The huge blue glowy Onix looked amazing. Rocky was impressed until he saw the cruel tactics the Rockets were using to control it.

Then the Female rocket called out 'Slammers'. Out came Rusty, who looked confused at having a strange trainer try to control her.

"Rusty!" Rocky called out. "I'm here, fight her commands, don't do anything she wants. Show her how stubborn you can be!"

The nerve of these Rockets thinking they could rename a Pokemon they stole from from someone else. Who did they steal that Onix off before trying to rename it? Rocky had a sudden idea. Didn't that Hiker say he had a Pokemon named Scooter that had been stolen.

"Scooter! You fight too!" Rocky called out. "Your real trainer is still looking for you. Don't give in to these Rocket thugs."

Rocky watched what Cassidy with Rusty's Pokeball. Speedy was still in play, hiding in the shadows, so stealing the ball back and freeing Rusty was a possibility.

He looked over at Behemoth who was still pretending to be paralyzed by the shock wave that had paralyzed the Rocky, Brandon and their other Pokemon. Behemoth winked letting Rocky know that it was ready to go at his word.

The Rockets were busy with the Onix and didn't seem to realise that ground types are immune to electric attacks like shock wave. Knowing that he only had one shot, Rocky waited for his opportunity to strike back.

Rose sensed Alice smile at her. Her senses might not have given her as much of an impression from it as someone's sight might have, but she still appreciated the gesture. She tried to smile back, but that smile was clearly forced and faded after only a few seconds.

Rose could feel the vibration as the Onix slammed into the wall. She was completely unimpressed by the explanation of what they were doing there. She was scared, but she was also angry at herself for not being able to be brave. She hated feeling so helpless. There was just nothing she could do. Her feelings of anger and helplessness only amplified when Rocky's stolen Aron got sent out. As scared as she was, she couldn't just sit back and watch what was happening any longer. Max was chasing them. She knew he was going to show up. Maybe they could do something to buy some time until he got there? Rose couldn't tell that Rocky's hippo was okay, but she could sense his Rattata hiding in the shadows, and thought he might have had something in mind. Even if he did, she was about to take a huge risk.

"Amirah, Confuse ray on the Onix." Rose said quietly.

The psychic type sent her back a telepathic "Yes." It began quietly hovering towards the Onix, using it's small size to try and stay hidden as it aproached.

Cassidy hissed at Alice's response.
"You have not been listening child!!! I didn't say fossils! The pokemon in the buried cavern are alive! That's right fools...alive. They are pure still. Not those creatures you people have mutated from rocks. Imagine what you could do with pure samples!" Cassidy laughed at King bashed in ground over and over until finally a hole started to form.

A grunt from the back of the group walked up and grabbed Alice.
"Shut up girl." The grunt said looking her in the eyes.

He winked at her. Lifting his head which had been hidden in the shadows as the team were more focused on the events. Max softly smiled before pulling back down over his hat and moving towards Rocky.

Meg didn't see the guys face but yelled at him as he walked away.
"Dont you dear touch her!"


"I got this one" He said disguising his voice.

He bent over grabbing the big guy by his collar.
"What are you stupid kid you want them to take your arms and legs." He said with a smile letting Rocky see him.

Max lifted up him up against the wall.
"Now youll have a better view of Team Rockets glory...shut up and appreciate this once in a life event." Max said

When the grunts turned back to Cassidy Max pulled out a paralyze heal pouring down his throat.
"This is going to taste bad.." He whispered. He dropped a second one in Rockys pocket for Rocky to help Brandon.

"Im going to create a distraction..When it happens make your move and get everyone out of here." He said quickly standing back up.



King continued finally creating a big enough hole for a wave of air that had been trapped for millions of years to shot out. Everyone covered their mouths. Everyone was silent for a moment. Cassidy held the flashlight pointing into the dark.
"Its glorious." She pulled out another pokeball.



The little Phanpy came out of its ball happy at first than sad when it noticed it still wasnt with its trainer.

"TUmble...you are going to be the first in." Cassidy laughed picking up the scared pokemon.


Max looked back Rocky for a moment then pushed forward through the group.
"Boss are you really going to let that pokemon steal your glory Max" Max called out still mixed in with the other grunts.


Cassidy paused.
"Who said that! What do you mean?"

Max stepped forward keeping his head down.
"I dont mean to talk out of turn..but you and Mr. Butch should be the first people in. Imagine that, you will make history! The first people to touch a living part of the past. Like man landing on the moon." He continued keeping his head down.

Butch walked over to Cassidy.
"What he is right! I Dont want a stupid phanpy to remembered as pioneer!" He looked at the grunt and a couple the others around him.
"Come here grunts...you guys are going to lower us in! Cassidy and I will take the glory and claim for Team Rocket!"

Max nodded and walked up to the group helping with them wrap the trainers up in rope.
"Let me hold on to the Crystal Amber. Just in case something happens to you. The boss would be p***ed." He said nervously trying to play it off.

She growled.
"Fine, but if there is even a single scratch.." She said handing it over.

Cassidy adjusted her rope and climbed down. As she got into place with Butch. She looked up at Max and paused finally seeing his face. Her eyes widened

" What defines us is how well we rise after the fall." Max wink letting the rope go. The grunt helping was pulled in.

Butch watched confused having no time to react before Max called out.

"Now Rotom!" He called out as the ghost type came through the floor stunning the grunts who then let Butch go and fell with them.

For a second there was some confusion. Max tossed off the hat with a big smile.
"Team Rocket! I present to your league champion."

Thats when all hell broke loose.

The little pokemon let out a confuse ray which was both clever and a huge miscalucation. As the Grunts called out pokemon to get Max. The massive Onix started to attack everyone. They were force to move quickly out of the way.

Brandon watched as the boss's called out a pretty, huge Onix and forcefully made it smash against the wall, he felt sorry for the poor thing, he listened as Rocky and Alice conversed with the grunts, then he watched as a grunt moved from the what he could assume was back of the group and then appeared by Rocky grabbing him and putting him against the wall, though something just didn't seem right about that grunt... he saw through the corner of his eye hand rocky something... then watched as the grunt started the diversion... then finally the grunt revealing himself as Max... Brandon thought happily "MAX!!!!!"

Then his happiness faded in a flash of horror as Rose's Amirah used confused ray, the grunts sent out pokemon to attack max, but in the distraction forgetting about Onix who went wild... Brandon hoped it didn't come too close, he still couldn't move much yet.

Nathan and Shich hid behind the rock, looking upon the conflict between some group members and Team Rocket. Until, now did Nathan learn the name of these crooks. Team Rocket. A familiar name. Sounds like Team Magma and Team Aqua like from back home. Nathan remembered an invasion of Team Magma in Verdanturf Town. They came in trying to find a way towards Mt. Chimney in order to create a new base, at the same time the robbed people of their belongings and forced the folks to join them in their cause. The adult town folk ganged up together and forced Team Magma out with their Pokemon. Nathan remembered watching his father's Steelix destroy Team Magma's armada of Mightyena and Camerupt. Team Magma retreated and later in the news, Team Magma moved towards Lavaridge Town up north in order to get closer to Mt. Chimney. Team Magma's motive was to use some ancient Pokemon that could raise the land for their own desires. Until recently, Nathan learned about the gang war between Team Magma and Aqua and learn of the existence of a Team Aqua. Team Aqua wanted to use another ancient Pokemon to raise the sea. Nathan had remembered of a clash between the two teams in Mauville, where the two gangs brought there fighting from the east into the city. There are a huge sound of battling that could be heard a mile away. Mightyena fought off Sharpedo and Crobat attacked Camerupt. Due to the fighting Nathan wasn't able to go east into Mauville and returned to Verdanturf.

But, what did Team rocket want? Obviously not change the planet's ecosystem. Team Rocket seemed more ruthless than Team Magma and Aqua. Team Magma and Aqua both wanted to raise the land or sea for the benefit of Pokemon and humans. Team Rocket doesn't want to help them at all. It infuriated Nathan to think what Team Rocket has been doing. Just imagine what happened before. What more horrendous act against nature have team Rocket committed? They have abused Pokemon, hurt them. Have they even killed Pokemon. Hunted species down to extinction? Sell them on the black market? This all filled Nathan with grief and anger. All the lost souls due to theirs hands. Why would people do this? What sane human being would sign up for this? If this even legal? It shouldn't be. This shouldn't all be happening. Team Rocket must end. The must perish. These thought kept getting Nathan. He looked upon the stolen Phanphy's face. He tried imagining if Leafy or Shich had got stolen, abused, and used for evil. He thought of attacking. But, it wasn't the Pokemon's fault. The poor Onix probably is just scared and frightened. Not knowing where its Trainer is. Nathan felt like he must act now. He was uncertain what to do. Whether it was best to stay out or get involved. He surely didn't want to hurt any of the stolen Pokemon.

"Shich, I need you to do a favor. Stop the Onix. I'm afraid the poor Onix is going to have to suffer in order to gain it's freedom. Now go do the best you can," said Nathan. "Combusken!" cried out Shich getting pumped up. Shich, in order to help himself out, leveld up before he acted.
