A couple minutes of introductions it was time to head off. Since Marcela was going the same way as the others she decided to tag along. Plus she need the help to transport the new Bonslys and Shuckle. The route to Cerulean City was a long route. A growing dust cloud ahead of the group. As the cloud got bigger and bigger the team got off the road.

After introductions were finished, the group started walking the long route toward Cerulean City. Along the way, they noticed a dust cloud, which they soon found out to bicyclists, they were quite cocky in their taunting jokes, they seemed to want trouble. Skipper who had been eyeing the cyclists for a while, made a single hand movement to the pokemon in the team, they formed their defensive formation around Brandon, as they usually did when there is possible trouble ahead. Brandon reached for Manky's pokeball, he pressed the button and the fighting type came out and took in his sorrundings, Skipper tapped Manky on the shoulder and pointed him to his spot in the formation. Then they contiued to stare at the cyclists, waiting to see what would happen next.

Alice was a bit surprised to see people cycling so fast on the road. It seemed a bit dangerous. Luckily Aster was able to get out of the way without too much trouble. The Bonsly he was carrying squirmed a bit, but Aster rocked them, trying to make them enjoy the ride.

A cyclist ahead seemed to be stopped and working on his bike. Brandon cautiously released his Pokemon in case of trouble. Alice walked on. Paprika and Aster didn't seem concerned, so she hoped that meant nothing fishy was going on.

Before she could say anything, she felt a movement from her bag. Reaching in a hand, she could feel the egg inside moving a little. The warmth of it calmed her nerves. "What a lovely day for a ride," Alice greeted the cyclist. She had always wanted a bike but most people in Kalos seemed to have rollerblades instead. "I wish I had a bike... We would get to Cerulean much faster!" She grinned. "Is it much further?"

Rocky watched the Bikers race by. He wondered if any of them were trainers. He expected to find a good number of trainers along the road to Cerulean.

A group of paras jumped out at the group. Rocky wasn't in the mood for another Paras so he gave them a wide berth. He heard Alice talking to the biker changing a tire.

"5 hours walk? This is why I usually hire a Driver!" Rocky groaned at the idea of walking that far. "Still it will be nice to reach a new city after the hassles we had in Pewter."

"There's no race...The league champion was arrested!" He said showing them the news paper.

"The police are going to be transporting him through the Mountains and then through Cerulean before heading to Vermilion where he will stand trial. We are racing to see if we can get a shot of the armored tanks they are transporting him in."

Alice froze for a second but recovered quickly. She looked at the paper, scanning it for as much detail as possible. They would be taking Max to Vermilion... "Wow! The league champion?! Armoured tanks?! It sounds like some kind of movie!" she joked. "The champion must be some kind of big shot if they need tanks for transport! Will you be following them all the way to Vermilion? You all must be very fit!"

After taking her time to look at her surroundings, she had spotted a group of paras right along the route. She had wanted to catch one knowing that the cerulean gym would be a tough match without one. "Alright Archie, this is it. We have to catch this paras or we won't be able to beat the gym" the squritle nodded as he took up his battle stance a few steps away, ready for a fight as he faced the paras with a determined look.

At his trainer's command Archie charged straight ahead, bashing into the bug with a tackle which sent it over flying a few meters away as it landed on the ground. Marcela then threw a pokeball which twitched from side to side for a bit and finally sounded off with a ping resulting in a successful capture.
