"Thank you.." Meghan said. Vii statement only brought up more questions. As strange as the story had sounded Meghan believed her.

"Maybe what brought Jacob here brought you here.." She said looking at the trainer.

"If that is the case maybe you are here for a reason. You are more than welcome to come with us and hopefully we can help you find some answers." Meghan looked at the others.

She looked at Brandon.
" If and when it attacks again...We will need to be ready because the alternative is not an option. We are going to have to find a way to stop it." She said.

Meghan took the lead finally the team started making some distance. The further away from the city they got the more things started to return to normal.

Meghan and Vi's stories didn't match up. Still though, after the events of the last day, anything seemed possible. She didn't question anything. This Vi seemed nice, and that was all she cared about. Meghan began to say that they needed to find a way to stop it. "When Dredd was using me to question Jacob," She said, pausing briefly, not even wanting to think about the subject anymore, nevermind talk about it, "Jacob mentioned something about light type Pokemon, and that are strong against shadows. Could something like that exist in our world too?" Rose questioned.

Seeing the Meowth, Rose didn't feel like catching any. It was going to take enough effort to train her current team up to the strength of her Pokemon that were in the Pokemon Center. She didn't need anymore Pokemon. ((In other words, I don't want to spend points on something I don't want that badly.))

Alice hung back a bit. She sent out Plume and let the Archen crawl over her shoulders. The bird never failed to make her smile.

Alice was happy when they finally left the city. It was nice to get some fresh air and put what had happened behind her.

When she saw a wild Meowth, she took the opportunity to do some training with Plume.

It was a relatively nice, especially considering the night they had survived.

A group of playful Meowth started gambolling about. He enjoyed watching them play and knew that he had to get one.

"Kick-Puncher! Bring me one of those Meowth!" Rocky instructed as he released the angry Mankey.

Witha wild scream the Mankey ran in and grabbed one of the Meowth and carried it back to Rocky. The poor little Meowth was crying in fear and stuggling to get away from the Mankey.

Rocky took the Meowth from Kick-puncher and the terrified Pokemon run up to his shoulder and dug it's claws in, hissing at the Mankey.

"Relax Meowth, I'll protect you!" Rocky said to the frightened Meowth. "Jump into the POkeball, and you will be safe."

The group ran across wild Meowth on their way out of the Cerulean it was a nice change of pace to get back to something else. For a moment it was hard not to feel relief.

As the conversation between VII and Meghan further developed. Things just seemed to get more and more confusing. Luckily the group began to move along as they talked. Soon they happened upon wild Meowth, some in the group stopped to catch them, Brandon decided against it, he had to focus on the current mission as well as on the strength and well being of his current pokemon. He didn't much want a Meowth anyway, he waited silent for the others to get one and for the group to continue on.

The team found Route 5 packed with people who were camped out from Cerulean City. As the continued down the path the huge camp eventually ended. Well over an hour past before they were back on the main path. That grassy path eventually turned into a wooded area. As the team walked through the dirt path which was located in the central half of area they noticed a lot of the basic pokemon from the beginning of their journey. The temperature was a little humid but nothing unbearable. Meghan attention stayed focused on finding Upgrade. She found it difficult not to think about Dredd and what they would need to do to stop him. The feeling of fear knotted up her thoughts and emotions. In the distance the sound of laughter and pokemon whistles. The team picked up the pace eventually making their way into a field with just a single trainer standing in the center of a big opening with a note pad. Her eyes to the sky.


"Ok, lets see if you guys can keep up with Buttefrees cyclone spin!"


"cling!!!" the happy little fire bird called out spinning around.


"Hop pip pip!" the tiny piny plant type called out spinning just about the ground.

After the two did the move Leaf jotted down her observation. She then bit the bottom of the pen.
"Hmmm"

The a big smile came over her face.
"Dexter, give me the speeds on those and free lets see if we can get your spin a little faster!" She laughed.



She didnt seem to notice the team.

Alice watched the girl with interest. She seemed to be training her Pokemon, but there was something scientific about her method. Before she could do anything else, Plume jumped from her shoulder and ran over to the three Pokemon and copied them. She jumped in the air and flapped her wings hard, spinning, trying to catch a blast of air that would help her to fly.

Meghan looked up as the little fossil bird Archen, flew over her head quickly. There was no denying the pokemons natural speed.



Leaf smiled as she saw the Archen zoom by. Her she held her hat looking up watching the little bird spiral in the air. She held up a nav measuring the speed and noting Archens feather pattern. As she jotted down a note her Meowth jumped off her shoulder and signaled her to the group who moved through the tree line to greet her.

Leaf didnt seem to notice at first as she watched the birds. She smiled making a little sketch.
" Unexpected!"
"Interesting !"
"Fascinating..."
"Curious?"

She said in her own head.
"Fossil....from " she paused making little circles on the paper.

" Unova!...Wait Unova...Hmmm."


Meghan walked ahead with the others just behind her. She stopped short of the meowth who had come to greet them. Meg bent over.
"Hello!" She said smiling at the little cat type. The Meowth examined the group quickly making its way back to Leaf.
"Excuse me..." Meghan said.

"I hope we're not interrupting, we're just passing through." She said trying to alert the trainer of their presence.

Leaf turned to the group.

"Chingling, Shuppet, Pikachu, Marshtomp and Mankey." She smiled.

" Mostly foreign pokemon...hmmm...which one of you is training the Archen?"

The group continued on and after awhile came upon a clearing, in the clearing was a girl who seemed to be taking down notes about things her pokemon did. She didn't seem to notice the group until Alice's Archen flew up in the air and pretty much gave them away. The group then went out to meet her. To him, it seemed the girl must be some sort of scientist.
