I am so sorry, everyone is posting more and now I'm posting less. I don't even have an excuse, the closest thing I have to one is that I was playing games with friends basically all day yesterday to the point that I forgot to even come on PXR. It's too late to do those battles I guess.

"Thank you!" Rose said excitedly as Meghan told her what she had done was brave. She was happy that Rocky had joined her. If he hadn't, things could have gone bad.

Rose took a bit longer than the rest of the group to reach Vermillion City. As she approached, she noticed some men who appeared to be some sort of guards. One glanced over at her, and her heart began to beat faster, but no one stopped to question her. She let out a sigh of relief as she walked into the town.

Almost as soon as she walked into the town, she heard her Pokenav beep. She took it out of her pocket, but wasn't sure what had caused the beep. She put it back into her pocket and began walking towards the Pokemon Center. Not being able to sense the screen, she knew she wouldn't be able to use the Pokenav to find anyone, but surely someone would come to the Pokemon center eventually. Rose walked into the Pokemon center only a minute after Alice. She noticed her almost immediately.

"Alice!" She called out as she walked over. "Where is everyone?" she asked.

Brandon sat reading the newspaper, which was filled with stories and false reports about the cerulean incident(s), for only a few minutes when Alice came in to the pokemon center, followed shortly by Rose. Nethier seemed to notice he was there and Rose came in asking Alice "Where is everyone"?, Brandon put down his paper and walked over to them, he said aloud "Well that depends who you mean by everyone ma'dam, if you mean the Kanto Military and secret agents patrolling this city, keeping it safe, then everyone is here". Brandon followed his sentence up with a wink. He didn't want anyone who might watching them to think Brandon knew either of them, as that might draw attention. At the same time though, he wanted to let Rose and Alice know he was he was there.

"Ill take you to the gold district. A lot of the stores are overpriced and have very selective memberships. " she paused
"If your someone in the upper class its a must. I wouldnt want to be well known in that district. Everyone in the city knows whose there and what they are wearing. Its the place to be. I prefer the low key places, not that I have an option.' She smiled

Fifteen minutes later Rocky stood feet away from the Gold district. A man of class would have no problem operating there. However Rocky had already been stopped once. If he got recognized in this gold district and Sophia was right he might end up spotted and blow is cover. Further back a block was the strip of stores that most of the city shopped at.

Before Sophia left.
"Well its that time. I have a gift for you. Its my way of say thanks for being a decent guy. Dont worry I work at a cool stone shop out west.I travel around giving out samples for the Lexin Evolution Stone Company. I gotta head back to the office now. Good luck!" She smiled waving goodbye

Meanwhile.

Brandon, Alice and Rose were now all at the pokemon center. As Brandon let the others know he was there he past by to stay under the radar. Rose and Alice had to figure out what to do. Rose began to feel something familiar standing in this pokemon center.

She looked around and noticed a figure pass behind her. Its almost as if she could both see and feel the persons presence. Rose lost track of what was going on with Alice as she was drawn to this trainer. She followed the boy out of the pokemoncenter and continued without saying a word. *Sorry @Dragon Master Mike I need to bunny you a little bit. She couldnt see his face just the back of his head and the backpack. As she got close enough to reach he took off running towards the north western end of the city. She found herself more than a block away from her friends but had to make a choice to follow him or go back.

Brandon continued to move around and try to wait out his teammates to figure out what was next. Brandon had not noticed Alices mesage through the poketch and finally had a chance to check it. He made his way outside to find a young trainer following him. The boy hung back far enough to seem casual but seemed oddly curious out Brandon.

Alice was the last in the pokemon Center. She was stopped shortly before leaving.
"Ummm miss.." A confused nurse said.

"Is your name Alice?"

Meanwhile

Meghan walked off alone. Her feelings were all mixed up. How could she just not try and help everyone. How could she live with herself if she didnt do a 100 percent for anyone in need. All of it was easier said than done as each situation would have to be judged int hat moment. Is anyone in real danger. Is someone being robbed, cheated or manipulated. Which of those was causes to step in?

Meghan walked for about 20 minutes aimlessly until someone tugged at her shirt.

"Is it you." a young boy said

Meghan was confused at first but noticed the boy was the same one from that battle with Surge.
"It is her dad, this is the girl that stood up to Surge for me." He smiled
"Thanks miss!"

Meghan felts the frown on her face started to fade and a lite smile came over it.
"Are you okay, How is your scyther?"

the boy smiled
"Swordy is just fine! She is a tough pokemon." He smiled

The father stepped up reaching out his hand.
"Thank you miss, Surge and his crew are completely out of control. How they treat young battlers, heck all battlers is a disgrace to real gym leaders. My son tells me you got beaten but your technique is like that of league champ. He thinks a little better."

"Its true dad! " He growled.
"You should have seen what she did with almost all basic pokemon!"

Meghans faced turned red.
"I doubt that but thank you...... Max would have beaten Surge in front of everyone." She said as her eyes drifted off.

The man smiled.
"Its not about embarrassing someone young lady. I would like the think the champ would have taken the high road and battled honorably and then made time to escort surge and his team away from the trainers. Showing respect to anther is sometimes the best way to show young trainers like my son here the right path. Now personally Id say Max would have probably kicked his butt all over the field if no one was watching." He smiled

"My son would like to give you a gift. He believes this pokemon will help you in your travels." He said looking down at the boy.

He pulled out a pokeball.

Rocky thanked Sophia for her help and for the stone voucher. Her advice to avoid the rich part of town was kind of a downer, but Rocky understood that stealth was necessary. He made his way down to the regular shops to see what he could find.

He found a nice delicatessen and bought some fancy cucumber sandwiches and had some well made tea. After a nice afternoon snack he felt much more civilized and headed of to the shops to see what he could find.

Alice studied the Pokemon in the PC carefully. Surge used electric types, and they seemed to be strong. Unevolved Pokemon would be no match for them. She frowned at Plume on her shoulder.

Alice spun around. "Um, yes," she replied. "Is something wrong?" Alice thought of her Pokemon left to recover at the Cerulean Pokemon Center, and hoped nothing had happened to them!

Rose was suddenly distracted by the presence of another trainer in the room. There was something about the trainer that caught her attention. The trainer walked out of the Pokemon Center and she followed behind. Before she could say anything though, the trainer took off. "Wait!" She called. She chased him for about a block before beginning to question what she was doing. She didn't like being split up from the group. She stopped running for a second. She was worried that if she kept chasing, she would run into trouble. But what was it about this trainer that had caught her attention? She had to find out.

Rose began running again. She wasn't very athletic, but she did her best to keep up.

Meghan smiled politely accepting the pokeball and waving goodbye to the young trainer. They had come at the right moment to assure Meghan that her choices mattered. This is what she wished Alice could see. All that talk about risking others had never been her intention. Meghan wanted to preserve life and maintain. If Alice was not willing to risk everything to save another they werent as much alike as Meg ha[/imd hoped. In the same way Alice had felt betrayed . Alices walking away when Meg could have used her now caused Meghan to feel the same betrayal. I twas something that was going to have to be addressed sooner or later. She thought turning back towards the path towards the Pokemon Center.

Meg took a short cut through city park. Meg preferred the tree line to the skyscrapers. As she walked with Pikachu down the park pathway the sound of lots of pokemon approaching. The two turned around and watched as a few of the kids in the park playing took off running as a flock of pokemon flew right towards them.

Meghan looked to Pikachu and the two cleared the main path. Riding along side the flock was a messenger boy and a whistle. As a couple of Farfetch'd stopped to check out Volt and Pikachu the annoy boy stopped short and jumped off his bike.

"what are you three doing!" He growled

He walked up waving his hands.
"Lets go...14, 29 and 1. Well 1 I am most surprised by you." The boys attention turned to Meg and Pikachu.

"What are you some kind of pokemon bandit? Trying lure messenger pokemon to you?" he continued.

Meg didnt really know how to take all of this. She thought for a moment about confronting the kid but despite what Alice believed of her Meg. The only time she did reckless things when she felt it was necessary. She looked at the messenger.

"I am sorry if there's been a misunderstanding but Volt and I were just taking a walk."

The Farfetch'd landed near Meg.

"Far! Far Far!" The first one called out.

The boy nodded
"Farfetch'd notice the badge you had and your Pikachu. They dont like Pikachus because a trainer came through here a couple months ago and beat damn near the whole team on its own. " He growled

Meghan looked down.
"You cant really expect to stop every gym trainer with a pikachu. Im sorry your messengers got beaten but that has nothing to do with me. Now if youll excuse me." Meghan said trying to take a step foward. More landed behind her.

She looked back a little annoyed

"A battle if you will miss. My Farfetch'd would feel much better." He said.

Meghan didnt like the situation and decided to walk away. She turned to walk and almost immediately Pikachu got attacked.

Meghan bend down picking up Pikachu.
"This is not you challenge a trainer to a battle. This kind of aggressive action could cause someone serious harm, call you pokemon back now." She demanded

The boy folded his arms.
" The girls right.." He sighed but the boy didnt seem to have control as the leader the Farfetch'd seemed hell bent on continuing the battle.

Meghan looked at the boy then the agressor.
"Young man you have not properly trainer your pokemon. How do you expect to have these pokemon work efficiently if they cant follow basic requests." She looked down at the annoyed Pikachu. Who seem to want to battle.

Meghan turned to the pokemon.
"My name is Meghan Stratus and I am training to become the worlds greatest battler. As I look at all of you its clear to me your trainer here as taken on to many pokemon to properly trainer each of you. He has foolishly confused active defiance for playful bounding. This attitude is not funny nor appreciated. Turn around and fly back to your cope or home or wherever before you force me and my partner Volt to defend ourselves."

She paused for a moment. When the pokemon advanced more. She looked to the trainer.
" You should move back..five or fifteen feet. Volt light them up."

Meghan said jumping out the way.

The thunderbolt scattered the field. Pikachu purposefully missed but came close enough to give the pokemon a sharp sting sending them flying all over. After the blast only one was left over. The defiant one. The others had quickly scattered. They stayed close enough to see the battle.

Pikachu planted its feet waiting for orders. The angered Farfetch'd still wouldnt back off and flew right in for the attack.

"Electro Ball!" Meghan called out.

With that the Farfetch'd was knocked to the ground. The soar bird type couldnt quiet get back up. Once it finally fell over.

The others turned back to the boy and flew back to him. With ones defeat he had become the flock leader again. Meghan quickly rushed over and picked up the tired pokemon.
"IM sorry about your pokemon." She said carrying over the pokemon back to the trainer. Sometimes pokemon just need more space." She handed over the Farfetch'd who seemed to be doing fine. The trainer put down Farfetch'd at the pokemons request.

Meghan nodded at the stranger trainer and finally got back on track. She didnt make it to far as the trainer called to her.
"Meghan! wait." He called out running up to her.
"Listen, I inherited the Farfetch'd from my uncle. Farfetch'd are different than other bird types. While they inhabit large groups just fine when a male reaches a certain age it starts to act up. Pokemon like farfetch'd like to travel and normally the males live alone. Each year a couple of the Farfetch'd reach maturity and they head off on their own. Number 1 has reached that time however I was not able to train him as well as my uncle did with the others. What I am trying to say is that i would like to ask you to take One with you. Sometime with a real trainer should help him learn the other skills I couldnt."

Meghan was confused by this.
" You want me to train your pokemon." She asked puzzled.

One walked up through the others and stopped short of Meghan bowing its head.
"Far Fetch!" it called out.

"Yes, you have earned his respect and he would says he would be honored to travel with you. Though he tends to be a little suborn and reckless." The boy says

Meg giggled a little
"Who isnt.."

She bent over and looked at Volt.
"You okay with this?" she asked.

Pikachu nodded competitively. She then looked at One.
"Looks like Volt is okay with you joining us. However we do have some rules. If you are joining us you follow my lead. Is that understood?" she asked firmly

Farfetch'd nodded eagerly

Meghan pulled out a pokemon and let the light take in the pokemon.

" I know a couple of trainers who make for worthy training partners. Once we get some free will come see you. Where can I find you?"

Nyle walked over giving her his nav information. Meghan added the boys info to the poketech letting him know she would contact him when she was back in Vermilion City.

Finally it was time to get back on track and Meghan didnt waste time. She headed out. As she walked she found that One didnt really intend on staying in his ball. The feisty flying type would be joining them on the walk back.

Rocky headed out of the Pokemart fully intending to get back to the Pokemon Center and met up with others. However about a block into his journey and he found his path blocked by a half dozen Cadillac limousines. Rocky instantly knew he was dealing with a member of the upper class.

" Do you think a lion can casually walk into a herd of buffalo without being noticed?" A voice said from just behind him. The voice held a certain amount of weight. The tone an speech pattern of someone from snotty charity event.

" Sorry my Goodman for the vague question but I am curious if you think something that does not belong can go unnoticed?"

Rose wasnt very athletic but the boy moved just slow enough to stay in range. Before Rose knew it she was running through the back end of the city and crossing into the forest. She continued now moving through the ticket. She could feel the little vines covering the forest floors poking at her legs. Finall the two reached a clearing. At first all she could see was the back of the boy but without warning the feeling she had in ceruelan came back. She jumped into the opening to avoid the feeling of flames all around her.

"You didnt listen to me Rose!" Max said now becoming clear to her.

She could only see him faintly in the smoke.

"There is a gathering taking place on the outskirts of the Kanto Sea. The tentacruel have begun there migration towards the ship that will scatter so many among the sea like fish food. Your pathway is taking you towards the ship. There is already a gravestone on that island for one of your friends. To choose death means you may save lives but at a cost, to choose life means you will cause many deaths that go unseen. The shadow of night is getting closer and closer to consuming the light that protects you. Protect the inquisitor gem at the cost of destroying it. " Max said his voice starting to fade

" You must keep your team together and follow the stone at all costs. Do not tell the others about this yet. When they need to know then tell them Rose. Only in that moment. Your team is already being held together thin string."

The nurse didnt know how to respond. Instead she led her to the phone.
"Youll need to ask him."

When Alice sat down and accepted the call she didnt have time to say anything.

"Hi Alice, its me Brock. There is no time for pleasantries. I had been trying to reach Meghan to but have been unable to reach her.. I am glad you all made it out of that nightmare in Cerulean. I talked with Misty and she and her sisters are fine. I have a couple of updates for you. The major cities are installing PCs to pin point everyone's location. Now the programming on these things could take up to two days. Which should give you guys a head start. There is a talented tech north in Lavender Town who might be able to help. Which brings me to my next point Misty said you were guys were looking for Max's base any luck with that. Also I have a personal favor if thats okay. We had one of rare fossil deposits broken into on One Island. If for whatever reason you end up out near the One Island chain I sure would appreciate if you could check it out. "

The nurse handed Alice a phone. She took it, surprised. "Um, hello?" She said, still looking at the nurse.

Alice listened carefully as Brock spoke. It was nice to hear from an ally. He told her about the computers being set up in major cities and suggested they get help in Lavender Town.

"Which brings me to my next point Misty said you were guys were looking for Max's base any luck with that." Brock asked.

"We found the base," Alice replied, "We're supposed to find Max's Porygon. One of his Pokemon was going to help us, but he didn't make it out of Cerulean... Anyway Upgrade was supposed to be close to here, but no sign so far." She said sadly.

"Also I have a personal favor if thats okay. We had one of rare fossil deposits broken into on One Island. If for whatever reason you end up out near the One Island chain I sure would appreciate if you could check it out. " Brock said.

Alice felt a tiny bit of excitement for the first time since Max was captured. Fossils! This was why she wanted to travel... "I'll definitely take a look," she replied. "Thanks for your help, Brock. It's nice to know that there's someone out there looking out for us."

"So nice to meet you, friend! A curious question about lions. In my experience, a lion doesn't need to avoid notice. The buffalo know to keep out it's way. But I can see that you already know that. That suit is definitely the sign of a fellow lion."

"So how goes the high-life in Vermillion. Any 'Lion-hunters' I should be wary of?"
