Alice woke up feeling a bit cheerier. It looked like it was going to be a nice day. For a little while, watching the sun stretch across the sky, it was easy to forget that she was practically under arrest.

Alice packed away her things and stretched a little. She checked her Poketech but there were no new messages. She looked around, wondering for a moment if she could just sneak off and disappear into the trees. But she knew the Arcanime would be able to track her.

It was a beautiful morning. Mills ran his fingers through Arcanines beautiful maine. The tired Arcanine let out a yawn. Mills nodded you can rest now my friend. Calling back Arcanine. It was now just Mills and Sylveon escorting the group. A girl came running out of the tall grass


"Please someone help!"

She called out.

Mills put his hand up to tell the group to stop.
"Wait here." He said running over to see what was wrong.

" Young lady are you okay? whats happening?" he asked dropping down to a knee.

" Im a police detective my name is David." he said softly in a reassuring voice.


The girl looked down at the ground
"I am so glad I found you. A man and his pokemon stole all my money and my pokemon snuffles!" She said sad about her missing pokemon.


"Can you tell me about this guy or his pokemon?" He continued with his voice low


"uh uh the man was like my grandpa and and the pokemon were Drowzees." She said

A young girl ran up to the group saying that her pokemon had been stolen. Rocky listened in to the story especially when she gotto the part about the old man and the Drowzees.

"Officer Mills, I think we ran into that man two days ago. He was being controlled by a group of five Drowzee who had taken over his mind. They were led by a Drowzee that was a strange colour. If that is the same group, that poor old man needs saving. He won't even know what he was doing. Brandon got mind controlled by the Drowzee and can't even remember that they hijacked his mind or what they made him do!"

Rose woke up the next morning feeling a bit better. Getting out of her sleeping bag, she felt a bit stiff, but well rested. She still wasn't feeling very good about their current situation, but she was a bit more optimistic than she had been the night before. Soon, they were walking again.

"Please someone help!" Rose heard someone call out from nearby. The detective ran over to try and help. The girl explained that her money had been stolen by an old man with drowzee. Rocky began explaining what had happened the day before, but had said that the drowzee were controlling the man. Rose began thinking about that and remembered that the fact that they attacked the drowzee was her call. And she knew now that Rocky was wrong about the drowzee controlling the guru. It was all her fault.

"Rocky, didn't you notice that after the guru hugged us, our money went missing? I didn't notice it until Brandon mentioned it, but I... I'm pretty sure that we... that I made a mistake in saying we should attack the drowzee." She explained sadly, completely blaming herself for what had happened.

Brandon woke up as he sensed Mills walking around, he rolled over to see what Mills was doing, he was waking up the rest of the group, but he hadn't gotten a chance to wake Brandon up yet, but Brandon's senses woke him up when they senses the movement anyway. Brandon sat up and stretched. Soon the group began moving again, until they heard someone shout help. Mills had them stop and ran over to help. A little girl explained about how a man with Drowzee had stolen all their pokemon and money. Brandon was getting angry inside again, that stupid lying, no good trickster of a man was at it again! Before he think much further about it, Rocky spoke up about it being the Drowzees and that Brandon was mind controlled and yatata. This was the last straw, Brandon was now truly angry and he yelled at Rocky "I WAS NOT MIND CONTROLLED ROCKY! WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS ALREADY! THAT MAN IS A STUPID, LYING, TRICKSTER AND A THIEF! YOU WERE WRONG, THE MAN IS BAD AND I WAS NOT MIND CONTROLLED, SO STOP TALKING THIS STUPID NONSENSE ABOUT ME BEING MIND CONRTOLLED!" Brandon stopped yelling after the last word and began to take deep breaths to calm down, once calm he went back to maintaining his full silence.

Mills was talking to the girl when the others jumped in. He wasnt a fan of them getting involved with this but knew if they had information that could help me he would be a fool not to show them the respect of listening. When the Brandon yelled out in anger Mills spoke up.

" Enough!" He said firmly

" Whatever is happening we are going to get to the bottom of this right. You kids need to take time to talk with each other. This kind of tension isnt good."

He paused letting out a whistle.

"I have a back up plan for events like this."


Towards the back of group a faint laughter started to grow as something creepily crawled out of the there shadows.


"Gengar Gengar" the ghost type laughed


"Fly up and scan the area. Find the Drowzee and the Man and get back here asap...and while your up there lay down a thick Haze."


(This move will effect Roses connection as Haze would weaken boosts like that of her pokemon and even to extent herself)


Without knowing it would effect Rose a thick cloud of Haze came down. This would get Mills an advantage to normally boosted Psychics.

Brandon's yelling began to upset Rose, but this time the yelling seemed to be directed purely at Rocky. Brandon stopped, and the detective silenced them. "I have a back up plan for events like this." He explained to them. Rose sensed something behind them that she hadn't noticed until then. The detective told the Gengar to lay down a haze. Initially, Rose thought that the ghost type was just going to throw down a smokescreen, and that her senses wouldn't be inhibited much. She realized she was wrong however, as as soon as the haze went down, her vision suddenly began to get weaker and weaker. She couldn't sense any details in anything around her anymore, only vague shapes and approximate locations.

Rose froze for a moment. She could barely see around her. She stayed silent because she didn't want the detective to know about her. As long as she took things slowly, she thought that she could still move on her own without tripping over anything.

At the mention of Drowzee, Alice shivered involuntarily. The others explained the situation and Mills sent out a Gengar to investigate.

Alice yawned. Another delay... Thick smoke blanketed around them from Gengar's Haze attack.

Alice stuck close to Rose, not wanting to lose the others in the fog. While Mills was busy, Alice used the time to speak to Rose quietly. "Have you heard from Meg?" she asked softly. She didn't want to give Mills any information on Meg that might help him find her.

Brandon cracked it as Rocky tried to explain the danger of these Drowzee taking over people's minds. The trainer didn't seem to remember anything about when the Drowzee had controlled him. Or perhaps he was just embarassed and trying to cover up for when he was under their control. Either way the Drowzee had obviously left some sort of psychological scar on the other trainer. The level of aggression that was erupting from the trainer was a clear sign of something not quite right in his mind.

Rocky decided that in order to preserve the peace, he would pretend to play along, and pretend that Brandon hadn't been mind controlled after all... Even though deep down he knew that it had happened!

"Very well my good sir, I am willing to go forward accommodating to the belief that you were not indeed mind controlled by those Drowzee. Now shall we see to helping this poor girl retrieve her Pokemon, and hopefully save that poor old gentleman who seems to have fallen under their spell again?"

A weird darkness descended around the area and Rocky looked around to see that Detective mills had let out a large ghost Pokemon who was sending a deeping haze to cover the area.

There was something oppressive about the haze, and Rocky did not like it.

"Is the haze really necessary?" He asked. "Most of us had no problem with the Psychic types last time." he deliberately did not look at Brandon when he said 'most of us'.

The haze blanked the area. As it did the group seemed unsure about this. Mills didnt get much info from the group about what to except. Mills was a confident man turning to Rocky.
"I understand your concern but "if" pokemon can control one mind they can control others. Seems to me Brandon would be the least beneficial one to convince if they wanted to take over." He said picking up the pace.

He followed Gengar outline in the hazy sky. IT didnt take long until Gengar stopped vanishing and appearing next to them. Just past the treeline the team could see the group of confused Drowzee and the Guru. The greedy man waved around a big branch.

"How dare you not do as your told!"


"Drowzee..." the lead said putting her head down.
The confused Drowzee backed off.

"You have failed me for the last time. I told you if you didnt do exactly what I told you I would have Mightyena here take it out and your mother." The man said.

Mightyena growled snarling at fifth Drowzee who looked older. Before the team could even react. Mills whistled
"Make it fast." He said as Sylveon moved in quickly and with ease took out the dark type.

"Stay here." He said looking at the group. Mills rushed in and cut off the guru exit. Before the man could even start to try and trick him. Mills tackled the man to the ground and handcuffed him. Mills then checked on the older Drowzee then made his way to the group who ran towards the elder. He took a moment to talk with them and access the situation. Then he waved over the others.

"I think the lot of you have some apologizing to do. Make it fast we need to move." He said walking over to collect the thief.

The guru snarled.
"You have no right!"

Mills looked at the man
"Shut up or im going to shut you up. Ripping off kids is disgusting." he grabbed the pokeball for Mightyena and called it back.

The man started to laugh.
"I ripped off weaklii" He gagged as Mills shoved a cloth into his mouth.

"Told you I would shut you up!" He said firmly grabbing the handcuffs.

The Drowzee checked on there elder and then looked at the group. As the haze started to fade they had no words other then moving to thank Sylveon and Mills. Looking back it was clear that there was hard feelings between them and Rocky, Rose and Brandon. The group vanished into the distance.

However one did appear and it was from the opposite direction. The curious girl drowzee appeared happy to Alice. It slowly moved over to check her out.
"Drow Drowzee!" She smiled
