Rocky and Meghan made there way to the front of the ship where they found Kyo and a few passengers. Rocky was finally able to put down Cilan was still out.

Meghan rushed over.
"Whats happening? Were the others able to get off the ship fine?"

Kyo sighed
"Yeah...until that happened." She pointed at the Tentacool

"We cant risk lowering anymore boats like this." Kyo said worried

"I've never seen anything like this."

Meghan looked over the edge.
"Neither have I..." She paused looking back at the Pokemon Rocky saved.

" There might be a way to clear a path." Meghan said walking up to Blaziken

" My friend Kyo here needs help getting these passengers off. Do you think you and your friends could help her by teaming up to clear the water below so they can lower the boats and get the last of the people off the ship?"

Blaziken nodded looking at the others he commanded them to listen to Kyo.

Meghan then looked at the trainer.
"Have you seen our friends?" She said looking around

"No. Ive been here the whole time I didnt see any of them get on a boat." Kyo said

"Sorry...hopefully they are okay. Do you want me to come help you gus search. "

Meghan shook her head
" You are needed here. Rocky and I will go find them. If anything happens that you feel your life is in danger..get off this ship. Please."

Kyo didnt want to agree but she nodded. Kyo could tell something was really wrong and Meghan was showing signs of the stress that she had when she came out of the nightmare.

Meghan looked at Rocky.
"We need to get the others and get off the ship asap." She said feeling the confusion and fear of what Dredd had done to mess with her head last time.

The two headed back in the ship the direction they last saw the others. As they ran down the hallways they found the ship was mostly silent expect for an odd sizzling sound like water boiling. When the sound of a young boy trainers voice echoed through the hall the two decided to split up to check the rooms faster. Rocky thought he heard the voice as he used a stiff shoulder to knock open a door. When the door swung open Rocky found himself now standing in his families dinning room. To make things more confusing it appeared as if he was just a kid a again. He couldnt be no other then 5 or 6 years old. It was late and the only light in the house was candle light.

Meanwhile

Team 2

Brandon called out all of his pokemon and they did there best just to hold off the wave of waiter zombies coming at them. It had worked to a point as the zombies were being knocked back and away from Brandon. However the pokemon could hold them off so long. When the creatures turned on Brandons pokemon. He was forced to call them back and nearly escaped death as Kaze had flown back around and grabbed him out of pile of 15 zombies swarming him. This would only be a temporary fix as the tired Charizard was losing energy fast.

Kaze head for Alice who was running from the Shadow Mawhile. The figure center had not moved at all since unleashing hell. Alice looked around for Rose but was confused to see that the girl had vanished completely. Kaze made a move to get Alice but was struck out of the air but the small figure standing in the middle unleashing a blast of dark energy. The pokemon quickly crashed into the ground unconscious. Brandon was thrown to the ground a few feet but still awake.

Alice ran towards the trainers but was knocked the ground by the Shadow Mawhile. The pokemon then swung its mouth and bit on to Alice side lifting her off the ground. Alice screamed out in pain.

"Max! Stop this! Max!"Alice screamed she could feel the blood and dizziness her eyes closed for a moment and then the pain was gone.

She was now standing in front of some sort of pokemon battle. She could really only see a Scizor and it seemed to have something pinned down.

"Crush his arm." the voice called from about the arena.

Alice looked up but couldnt make out who it was. However she noticed the Rocket symblo on the person. She looked back and notice that this wasnt a pokemon battle. it was a pokemon attacking a trainer. The boy screamed out sending out a dizzying blast of energy. It was Max! A 11 or 12 year old version of him. The boy used the second to fall back and roll towards one of the fires burning around the battling area. He tore his shirt off and plunged it into the fire. Max screamed out in pain as it started on fire. He climbed to his feet his eyes filling with tears and ran towards the Scizor. Max was fast, faster then Scizor could react and with hard punch. The boy connected with Fire Punch which lit up the bug and knocked it clean out.

Max rolled around on the ground in pain.

The man above started clapping
"Wonderful wonderful!"

Meanwhile

Rose held the gem and started to summon the Tentacool. Will crawled over and screamed out. He got to his knees in shock when he noticed the giant tentacruel coming.
"Oh my god...it'll kill us all!" He said

" You have stop." Will said now looking at Rose.

In that moment something happened. Everything stopped around her. Rose's thoughts transferred some place else. She stood in the rubble of a factory. Some of the wood and rubble moved and she could hear the sinister laughing. She walked closer and noticed Dredd half burried in the rubble.

* I am not there child...Everything that is happening is you.* Dredd laughed and laughed

and then Rose took a breath and looked around on the ship. She was wearing all black and Will was looking at her. But this didnt make sense. None of this made sense. Rose stood there watching the Tentacruel coming towards them to tear the ship in half.

"Please stop this child..." Will said grabbing on to her leg.

From behind her she heard his familiar voice

"ROSE!! STOP!" Max screamed out

"YOU HAVE TO TAKE CONTROL!"

Roxborough crept silentlythrough the dining room. Mummy and daddy were sleeping, so he had to be careful not to wake them. His brother and sister might tell on him of they found him.

One of the servants had left a candle burning, allowing Roxborough to see in the gloomy room. His current objective was being kept in the kitchen. Cook had made a fresh batch of choc chip cookies this morning. Mummy had only let Roxborough have one, but he wanted more.

Moving to the kitchen door he pushed on it, but found it wouldn't open. That was weird it was never locked. He heard something scraping on the other side of the door. He looked through the keyhole to see a Rattata desperately attacking the door. He jumped back, happy that he was safe inside the room so that the Rattata couldn't get to him.

The windows rattled outside he could see the shadowy shapes of Pokemon trying to get in through the windows. Five Pokemon were attacking the windows trying to open them without any success. One of them a little Aron seemed desperate to break through the window, growing more and more stressed by her inability to do so.

'How do I know that the Aron is a girl?' Roxborough wondered. It was definitely a girl, but he had no idea how he knew.

In the darkness behind Roxborough an apparition started to form. A ghostly Tentacool formed and reached out to grab the young boy. Roxborough couldn't see the Tentacool, but as it formed the Pokemon outside redoubled their efforts to get into the room.

Roxborough moved to the middle of the room, next to the candle. The flame made him calm. He watched as it moved and danced, casting shadows throughout the room. The tiny flame was his protection and comfort. It kept the darkness at bay.

He watched as the flame grew wings and a beak. The flame flew away from the candle circling around Roxborough's head and then leading him towards the door that the Rattata was trying to break through. Although little Roxborough was scared, he trusted this flame bird to keep him safe.

Rose had been simply waiting for the nightmare to end at that point, but when Will spoke to her, she realized that she was actually there. Was she actually doing this? "I... I can't!" she cried to Will. She wasn't doing this. She couldn't be. She was completely not in control. Suddenly, she was somewhere else. It seemed that she was standing on the rubble of a large building. Off to her left she heard something moving. She instinctively walked towards the laughter that she began to hear.

* I am not there child...Everything that is happening is you.* His voice repeated in her head. It really was her fault. Everything was her fault. Next thing she knew she was back on the ship.

"Please stop this child..." Will said as she felt him grab her leg. Suddenly she heard Max's voice call to her from behind.

"ROSE!! STOP!" She had completely given up hope, but if Max (even if it wasn't the real Max) thought that she could do it, then she had to try to fight it. She realized that she was holding the gem. If she was really there and really holding the gem, could she tap into its power and use it to break free?

Rose closed her eyes and began to focus. Even if she couldn't use the gem, she had to fight it. Slowly, she tried forcing herself to lower her arms and back up from the side of the boat. Even if it seemed useless, if Max said she could it, she had to try.

Alice saw Kaze fall, Brandon sprawled on the ground. She tried to reach them but the Shadow Mawile grabbed her, its teeth closing on her skin. It lifted her high into the air. She tried to move but it was impossible. The Mawile's grip was too tight. She felt dizzy and sick and her eyes closed. When they opened, she was standing in front of a Pokemon battle, all pain momentarily gone.

A Scizor was pinning something to the ground. A trainer in the stands called out a command. Alice couldn't see much besides a Rocket uniform. The Scizor moved slightly and she saw that it was a boy fighting the Scizor! Then something strange happened... a blast of energy seemed to come from the boy... And he managed to pull off an impressive fire punch, freeing himself. But he curled up on the ground in pain. The figure in the stands clapped, but Alice kept her eyes on the boy. Max. He was so young. The recognition brought her back to reality. This couldn't be real! But was this a dream or a memory? She couldn't imagine Max being in this situation for real. Did he already have connections to Team Rocket when they'd met?

Alice ran toward the boy on the ground. "What's going on?" she cried. "Max?" Then she turned to the stands. "Who are you?!" she yelled, looking around frantically.

She thought about the last time she had been in Max's memories. Rose had been there then. "Rose?!" she called out.

No sooner had he reached the next door did the real nightmare began. The flame that had been protecting turned to smoke as his hand reached for the door. As he crossed over into the next room he was no longer 5 or 6 he was now ten and much more aware of the world around him. His house now looked completely different all the warm colors that had made it homely were gone. It was still very late and the electric lighting was almost two dim to proper see everything in the room. As he walked he heard the sound of his father talking. He walked into the next room curious and saw his father and another man sitting next to a fireplace.

He stayed further back afraid he was interrupting his dads business meeting.

"Now then, shall we go over the fine print." His father said

The man nodded his head turned away from Rocky.

" The fine print a fancy way of saying the nitty gritty ? If so, its simple. You are responsible for getting us the merchandise we need. In exchange for the merchandise we will make sure your investments go the way you are hoping. This includes what means it takes to get that property you have been eyeing to open up. A few people go missing here or there. Who knows, the world is filled with less brats." The man laughed. It was clear this man was not upper class.

Rocky's father simple nodded
" You know I dont care for the means as long as the end is profit. As for my end. I have secured a sit down with a man whom can extract the glands of just about any pokemon for your desired product. I am told those of rare Drapion are especially potent for those of your clients looking for that extra boost of power. The whole process is messy and I would not dear speak on such matters in the house were my children sleep."

Meanwhile

Alice rushed over to the young Max. The boy gripped his hand tightly. It had been burnt from using part of his sleeve the fire punch. He looked up at Alice confused as to who she was.

Before the boy could answer her question a familiar sinister laugh started up. The shadowed figure stepped forward. He laughed and applauded leaning over the railing

*Bravo! Bravo.* Dredd clapped

He pulled out cigar and lit it.

Dredds face has remained completely covered since the first time he appeared. He pulled back part of the mask covering his face to reveal a scared face.

*You have come a long way to visit the boy. So I suppose we should go call out right?*
Dredd moved his hand and Alice was thrown back into a seat she couldnt get out of.

Max pushed himself off the ground. TO him the shadowed man was not Dredd it was the man who had tried to ruin his life. Alice did not see Geovanni standing there nor would she have recognized the younger version of this many anyways.

Max trembled in pain.
"I came here for my pokemon and to rescue Mew! No matter what you send at me I will free my pokemon." the boy screamed out.

Geovanni clapped at Machoke came rushing out.
" Do not let the boy walk out of that ring!"

The image started to fade and Alice now found herself in a theather. All around her were different version of Max. her attention moved to the center stage were a spot light appeared. Actors played out a great battle and as one of the Max's stood center stage with the trophy a sisnter sneaky figure appeared from back stage. It was Dredd! and the audence booed and hissed at him. Throwing food and drinks onto the stage.

Dredd pulled a lever and Hero Max fell through the trap door on the stage and vanished. The crowd continued to boo and hiss. Dredd made his way out to center stage and started to taunt the audence when Alice noticed something. Dredd had strings on his arms and legs. She got out of her seat and walked towards the stage. What she saw there scared her half to death. Above the stage she saw who was controlling Dredd..It was Rose...

Meanwhile
(Please dont react to Roses part of the story she is ahead of the rest of you.)

Rose stood at the edge of the ship. The power of the gem flowing through her. This power created gateway through Dredd and her Memories like no other. She could feel the evil draw of Dredds powers. She could feel the hate, greed and temptation to destroy everything. She didnt not back down as the huge Tentacruel finally reached the ship. The massive creature looked to her for orders and she couldnt stop herself from ordering it to destory the ship. The smaller tentacruel began spitting acid. All around the ship the water boiled and now the huge tentacles now slammed into part of the ship destroying two floors.

The more she commanded it the more power she began to have over it and even Dredd. Her subconscious had taken the form of Max because she had respected him. As it pleaded with her to stop she couldnt help but turn towards this newly formed doorway. She reached out her hand shaking the ship being destroyed all around her. She turned the handle and there in the center of the room was single jail cell. She walked through the doorway and towards the cell.

Max (the actual Max..lol) looked up at her with a smile. He scratched his fave as his facial hair had grown since the last time she saw him.
"Hi Rose." he said softly.

Rose could feel the gem's power, but she still couldn't control herself. The Tentacruel approached, and although She didn't want to, and she really didn't even know exactly what it was that she was doing, she began ordering it to destroy the ship. "Stop..." She said, using all of her strength to try and resist Dredd's influence. The tentacruel slammed down a tentacle near her, smashing through the deck. She didn't realize the full extent of the damage it had caused yet.

Tears flooded from her eyes. She had never felt so powerless before. Suddenly though she realized that a door had appeared near her. She turned towards it, and without quite realizing what she was doing, opened it and stepped through. She wasn't sure what had happened, or where she was, but it seemed like she was in control again. It didn't seem like she was in immediate danger anymore, but she was still shaking.

She noticed the jail cell at the center of the room. "Hi Rose." The image of Max said to her. But something was different. This time, it didn't seem like just an image.

"M-Max!?" Rose called out, running up to the cell and placing her hands on the bars. "Is it- Is it really you?" She questioned. She couldn't believe it. Was this really happening? Had she managed to dig deep enough to reach the real Max? She had completely let her guard down to the possibility that this room was created by Dredd to mess with her head, but she really didn't think that it was.

The pudgy little six-year old Roxborough had grown like a weed into the ten year old Rocky. Already head and shoulders taller than his classmates, Rocky had begun to excel at sport in this past year. Today he had been accepted onto the year 6 football team. The other kids on the team were 2 years older than Rocky, but he the biggest on the team.

He had excitedly run home to tell his dad teh news. Today his dad would be proud of him!

Dad wasn't home and didn't get back from the factory until after dark. Rocky finally found Dad in the meeting room talking to a strange man. The man and Dad were talking about Pokemon, but they were talking about weird things, like taking glands out and using them somehow. It was all confusing to young Rocky.

Somewhere deep inside of the ten year old a pain started to emerge. It wasn't physical pain so much as an imagined pain. Almost as if somewhere an older version of him were screaming in anguish over what the young boy couldn't understand.

He heard a scrabbling at the door again. How many years had that Rattata spent trying chew through the doors into this room. Rocky looked around for the Rattata poison but couldn't find it. He would have to find some other way to get rid of that persistent Rattata.

He sat down on cold steel floor and wished that their family had enough money to buy furniture. He was sick of sitting and sleeping on the cold, hard steel floor.

Unseen by Rocky the ghostly apparition tentacool reached out with one tentacle and pulled Rocky close. It gave an evil grin to it's twin apparition, who had disguised itself as Rocky's father.

Max reached over the bar and touched Rose's hand.

"Yes. You look so much different from the last time I saw you." he said trying to comfort the girl.

"Things have gotten out of control Rose. It's important to know this is not your fault. Whatever is happening is because Dredd's power is growing out of control. Every day he is getting stronger but he hasnt figured out how to control it yet. I guess I should say I havent." he frowned

"That creature is part of me.." He said looking her in the eyes.

Inside this world Rose could see perfectly.

"I have something to ask of you but its not going to be easy to do Rose. If I tell you something will you promise to do it?"

Rose felt Max touch her hand. "Yes. You look so much different from the last time I saw you." He told her. Slowly, her tears of sadness turned into tears of joy. She had known all along that Max was still in there somewhere. She was so happy to finally get through to him. Max told her that she needed to know it wasn't her fault. That made her feel better. Max looked her in the eyes. This was the first time Rose could remember that she had actually gotten to look someone in the eyes like this. He asked her to promise to do something.

"Anything. I'll do it." She responded softly. In that moment, she probably would have died for him if he asked her to.

" Remember now, you promised." He smiled softly

" It is clear to me now that whatever Dredd is, it can only be stopped one way. No matter what I say or how I say it we both know what that is. My soul has been torn into two and even this version of me while its me is only a fraction of what Giratina didnt claim. Rose, they tried to kill my soul and created a black hole of energy...I know this because Dredd is a void of nothingness. He must be stopped at all costs. I dont want to die, I dont want my soul to stay in hell." He said with tears now rolling down his cheek.

" I need you to promise that after Dredd is gone you guys will find some way to free my soul from Giratina distorted world. Im not going to lie to you...beating Giratina will be next to impossible but it is possible I have sensed something in Meghan..but she isnt there yet. She needs more time and you need to make sure she doesnt give up training. She has to live so I can live."

Max reached through the bars and ran his hand through Roses hair.
"You are amazing and I am so proud of you. I wish I could be there to help you with your training."

The room started to shake

" Now, to stop all of this you must destroy the gem. All that has happened is not your fault. The gem and Dredd combined have corrupted you. Once you get rid of the gem all of this should stop. Well, I have an idea of how to do that but you wont like it. Chuck the damn thing into Tentacruel and then with whatever pokemon you have unleash all there energy to blow the damn thing up. The explosion wont kill that thing but it will blow it the hell up. Rose, the ship is sinking right now. The explosion will only make it worse. You must get off the ship before it sinks at any costs."

Rose started to get pulled away Max's cell starting to vanish into the background.

" Rose, DO NOT touch the inquisitor gem! " Max called out. He had almost vanished when she heard the last bit.

" Tell Alice I see her in my dreams she brings me comfort." His voice said finally fading

(I am going to post the end of this mini event at the end of work. Needed @Dragon Master Mike to have one last thing to respond to. Also Mike feel free to destroy the gem and react however you like. I will finish the story based on that.)
