" I think I'm going to track down the Hoppip. I remember seeing them in Johto and they are super cute." She said finally cracking a smile.


" If youll want to split up to catch one of the two pokemon now is a good time. We can meet back here in 30 minutes." Meghan grabbed a pokeball.

" If you want to track down a Hoppip you are welcome to join me." She said turning around and headed in the direction Leaf had pointed out.

Leaf explained that there were Hoppips and Fletchlings on either side of the forest. Rocky looked at Leaf's Fletchling and decided that he wanted one of them as well.

Meg said that she was going after a Hoppip on the other side of the forest and suggested that the group meet up in 30 minutes.

"OK , I' want onbe of those Fletchlings. I'll meet you back here in 30 minutes. Anyne else coming for a Fletchling?" he asked before taking the trail to the west.

The girl, whose name appeared to be 'Leaf' explained about how there were fletching and hopip on either side of the forest. Meghan suggested they go and try to catch one and that they split up and meet back at the clearing they were currently in, in 30 minutes. Brandon didn't necessarily want to catch a fletching or hopip, however, he figured he should go along with one of the groups going since it might be a training opportunity even if he didn't catch one. His current partially primary and partially back up team could use some training to strengthen. Brandon chose to go the east along with Meghan . He took out one of his bottles of water and took a long swig, he put it in the side pocket of his survival pack for easy reach. He then turned back to Skipper and Marshtomp who were both still chatting away with each other in their pokemon language and said to them "Ok guys, let's get ready to move" then he began to follow Meghan.

Meg set off for the Eastern route. ( @brandon_g ) Brandon also picked that direction heading off after Meghan. Rocky had picked the Western route hoping to find a Fletchling. This left Rose and Alice to pick a path. As Meghan and her team trotted through the wooded path. She turned to notice Brandon coming up behind her. She waved at him.
"Hurry up slowpoke!" She smiled

"Are you fellow Hoppip lover?" She questioned as she walked.

The two walked along through the path before they finally started to noticed the pretty flowers falling down from the trees. Meghan picked one up looking at Pikachu.
"Looks like we are getting closer, huh?"

Pikachu smiled and nodded running off a little ahead.
"Pika!" It called out excitedly as it reached an opening.




Meghan walked through the tree line and her surprise found a field of playful Hoppips.


Meanwhile

Rocky headed through the thicker Western path. Moving through the western path was a little tougher as thorns covered the forest floor. Pretty flowers sprouted out of the rich soil making this a beautiful area that could also be dangerous.

Brandon followed Meghan down the east path, as he was intially catching up with Meghan she noticed him and gave a joking "Hurry up slowpoke" and then as he walked up alongside her she asked him "Fellow Hoppip lover?" to which Brandon shrugged and replied "Nah, just trying to do some training". He smiled a weak smile at Meghan but she didnt seem to notice, she was too busy taking notice of the flower around them and saying they must be getting close. Brandon looked at Skipper and Marshtomp who were out of their pokeballs and said to them "Stay sharp, be ready" to which they both silently nodded and scanned area all around them thoroughly for any signs of a threat. Brandon let out his Nidoran and Riolu. Nidoran knew Brandon as well Skipper and Marshtomp well, having been part of Brandon's team in the past and would be comfortable with them. Riolu, Brandon and his team had met briefly once and the oppuritiny would allow for the fighting type to become better accustomed to Brandon and his team. As the 2 pokemon came out Skipper and Marshtomp greeted them quietly, Skipper spent a couple extra seconds thoroughly introducing himself to Riolu. Then Skipper began pointing each pokemon to a spot around Brandon and soon their classic defensive formation had been formed. Not long after it was completed, did they come out of the treeline and be met with a horde of engertic, playing Hoppips.

Rose wasn't sure what Pokemon she wanted. She didn't really know much about either Pokemon. She wanted to go with Meghan, but she also thought that she would like a Fletchling. Ultimately, she decided that she would follow behind Rocky. The shrubbery seemed to get more dense as they walked, but it didn't cause her any problems for a while.

"Ow!" Rose called out as she felt a sharp stinging from her upper right ankle. She had failed to notice the thorn bushes in the area, and one had scraped her leg. The pain began to fade after a second, and Rose kept moving, paying close attention for any other thorn bushes. She couldn't sense any of the Fletchling yet. She hoped it wouldn't take too much longer to fine them.

The western path was covered with long nasty thorns. Rocky moved slowly trying to avoid the thorns.

"Ow" called out Rose from behind him.

"You OK there Rose?" he asked. "These thorn bushes are pretty nasty."

The two trainers continues along the path keeping an eye out for any sign of the flethlings that were supposed to be in this part of the forest.

After Leaf left, Alice stopped to think, while the others went ahead to find Hoppip or Fletchling. Alice wasn't sure which Pokemon would be a better match for her team. She got out her dex and looked through their entries. She has been neglecting to take notes or do much research at all thanks to all the crazy disruptions they had faced on the journey so far. Seeing Leaf had made her more determined than ever to get an internship with Oak.

Eventually she decided on a Fletchling and headed to the west. She couldn't see the others. They must have been far ahead by now.

Alice continued through the forest. Thorn bushes sprouted from the ground below her feet. She moved carefully, not wanting to scrape her legs against them. Plume squawked unhappily as she was pricked by a thorn, and spent the rest of the time riding on Alice's shoulders.

"Keep an eye out for other Pokemon," Alice said to Plume, scratching her under the chin. "There should be some Fletchling this way."

"Ack!" Plume grunted and looked around. Alice kept her eyes down, focused on the thorns. In some place, flowers poked through the soft earth. It would look beautiful and inviting from a distance.

Suddenly Plume cried out. Alice's gaze shot up. A small red bird was perched in a tree before them.



It fluttered its wings a little at Plume's cry.

"Hush Plume!" Alice said. She didn't want to scare it away. She edged a bit closer, trying to keep her body language neutral and unthreatening. The Fletchling stayed put, but eyed her warily.

When she reached the base of the tree, Alice leaned carefully against it. She reached into her bag for some bread she had saved from breakfast and held it out in her hand where she knew the Fletchling could see. "Here you go, Plume, lunch time!" she said, not too loud.

Plume crawled over her shoulder and began to eat from her hand. Alice kept her eyes down, but she could hear the rustle of leaves as the Fletchling moved to get a closer look. Alice carefully pulled more crumbs from her bag and held them out. When Plume went for them again, she held up a finger. Plume tilted her head, but stayed quiet. After a moment, there was a flapping of wings as the Fletchling landed on Alice's hand and began to eat. Alice grinned at the close experience with the bird. Its feathers were really a lovely colour.

When it was done eating, the Fletchling looked up at Alice and whistled happily.

"Would you like to come with us?" Alice asked. "I promise there'll be more where that came from!" She grabbed a Pokeball from her bag and held it up.

The Fletchling whistled again and then tapped the ball with its beak.
