At Meghan's suggestion, Rose walked over to her and the Raticate. "Hello." She said. She didn't really know what else to say. She reached down and scratched the normal type's head.

Glancing over at the Pidgeotto, they seemed strong. She wanted to catch one because of this, yet she was nervous to try and catch one for this reason too. Still though, if Meghan and a Rattata had managed it, maybe if she sent out her charmander she could do it. "Alright Ember." She said releasing the fire type from it's Pokeball." "Use Ember!"

It was a short, one sided fight. The fire type simply wasn't as strong, had no type advantage, and Rose wasn't a good enough trainer to be able to make it work. The flying type was just too fast, dodging attacks and slowly wearing Ember out. Eventually Rose gave up and called him back. "I need to train..."

Alice swung around in the tree. Now she was looking over the forest. It was very lush and beautiful from this vantage point. She could see wild Pidgey and Butterfree flying around the upper branches of some of the other trees. She could also hear what sounded like voices from a little further in the forest. She wondered if that's where the rest of the group were training.

"Freeeee~!" Alice heard a happy sounding voice and looked down. A Butterfree was flying up the tree trunk towards her. She stayed very still, not wanting to startle it. She was very surprised when it kept coming straight at her, and finally landed on the branch next to her and cooed happily.

"Wait a second..." Alice said, almost falling off the branch. "Citrus?! You evolved?" She looked down, and sure enough, Aster was on the ground alone, a little figure looking up at them. "I guess you really wanted to join us up here, didn't you?" Alice laughed. "All this training today is definitely paying off." She reached out and patted the Butterfree on the head.

Alice began to climb down the tree. When she got to the bottom, she watched as the girl released four butterfly Pokemon. They seemed to sparkle in the light. Citrus flew over to say hello.

"Wow! Your Pokemon.. I've never seen them so colourful before Your Butterfree looks different to Citrus... Wait a second..." Alice paused. "Are they shiny?!"
