Rocky was right. Meghan agreed that after all, they had been to what could ghost types really do. When Alice spoke up and mentioned getting their names cleared she shouted out.
"Yay, that's it!" Meghan calmed down to hear the others out.

" After they were done she spoke up. We need to find this missing guy. I remember now what it was. When Kyo and I met I saw something referencing a tech wiz staying in Lavander who could help track down Upgrade. " She looked at the others.

" Maybe we should take a look at his room." She said softly.

" A trainer who is planning to hike would be packed for it. However maybe what's left in his room can give us a more clear picture. "

Meghan drew the teams attention to the stairs and then slowly headed up acting as normal as possible.

Once they reached the top
" Alright, guys spread out and find the room."

As they spread out and started to open up doors they reached a locked door. @brandon_g jiggled the handle and then knocked softly

"Uh hello?"

When he didn't hear anything he pulled out his lock pick and quickly picked the lock. This was before the others could stop him. As they rushed over to stop him the door slowly opened and the team could see in the dark room. The room was a mess. Computer technology spread out all over the place. The desk was covered in paper clippings.

Brandon took the first steps in with this team closely behind him as he walked up to the desk he found a newspaper article. As the others made their way through Alice noticed the design blueprints for upgrade pokenavs. There was a note attached
" Mr. Stone the new upgrade model can perform a task, unlike anything. If the test model is right it can detect Fossils based on energy readings.... The future is coming. Using just the demo I was able to detect several fossils here in Kanto."

Rocky picked up a Devon clearance badge. He had seen the logo. The paper read.
" Dash,
We are working on a huge deal in Canalave City to set up a new location. You could be looking at a transfer. Mr. Stone is already excited as he believes the rich untapped fossils in that area could expand are a wealth of knowledge. We heard rumors that a family member of one of the families is one of the kids missing. We also are hearing other roo..." The rest was to hard to make out to read

Brandon lifted up a newspaper clipping

"Zapdos attacks tower! Surge smuggling ring found!"

Meghan lifted up a different article
"Spritomb unleashed?"

She said looking at the image

" Tourist witnessed a terrifying sight today when what seemed to be possed monk appeared with the ghost demon Spiritomb. Police searched the tower but could find no trace of the creature. Hoax or Real? "

Meghan sighed
" I dont think this guy came here to camp. These articles are about the tower but they are about strange events. Even strange for us." She held up one

"Zombie Pokemon scare off childern..." She laughed nervously

Rose wasn't exactly keen on staying in the town longer than they had to, but it seemed that the others wanted to search around. And if Dredd really was involved somehow, they were the only ones that knew about him. They had to do something. Of course, if the others wanted to stay, she would stay with them regardless of what they decided.

After taking a look around, Brandon forced his way into what he thought was the guy's room. Rose wasn't particularly happy about this, but she stayed quiet, nervously making sure that no one was watching. Inside they found strange newspaper articles.

"Zombie Pokemon scare off childern..." Meghan nervously laughed, reading one of the articles.

"That couldn't mean shadow Pokemon... could it?" Rose questioned anxiously.

Everyone agreed to stay and search for the person who could clear their names. They decided to start by trying to search for the room of the missing man who had checked in a few days ago but never returned. The team made their way upstairs and the teams spread out to check rooms. Brandon reached one door at the end but found it locked. After jiggling with the door in frustation, he reached into his pack and after digging around for a second found his lockpick. Assuming the nurse was being truthful about their being no other guests checked in (and she had no reason not to be), Brandon figured their could no one else in any of the rooms who could witness him picking the lock. He put his lockpick in the lock and after fiddling with the lock for a minute and listening for the click, he finally managed to unlock the door, hearing the 'click' of the lock coming undone. Right as it unlocked everyone else came rushing over to try and stop him, but as it was already done, Brandon put the pick back in pack then opened the door. Brandon when in first, with his pokemon right behind him, ready to reacr at a moments notice. Luckily the room was empty the group went out searching the room. Brandon found a newspaper article about Surge's hideout being found. Meghan found an article about zombie pokemon scaring children. That made a shiver go down his spine, but he knew it probably referred to shadow pokemon or something.

Brandon just hoped they could find this person who could clear their names as soon as possible so they could get the heck out of Lavender town as fast as possible. Brandon did not want to spend another night in this town.

Rose responded to the comment about zombie pokemon.

" Its possible Shadow Pokemon are here. However Shadow Pokemon seem more like rage monsters than the living dead...It could all just be apart of whatever shadow is hanging over this place."

She said looking at the paper once more. When Rocky spoke up Meghan causally responded

"About whose room this is...No. Just an article about a sprirtomb being spotted in the tower. Ghost-type pokemon have been known to be powerful psychics. It's possible that what these people are experiencing could be that of a sinister pokemon..but I find it hard to believe that pokemon would have malicious intent. Outside of the rouge pokemon and dark lengeardy types that are. Maybe this guy found something in that tower and didnt make it back. I dont see anything in this room about the power plant or hiking." She looked around at the mess

"He just seems like kind of techy kind of guy...not so much a hands on rugged guy." She shruged

"Seems to me we should there...but we should prepare for ghost types."

"Ghost types?" Rocky said curiously. "We haven't had to deal with many of those so far. According to my Grandfather, you need a dark type to take down a ghost type."

Rocky moved to the PC to look through his Pokemon. It showed him his Poochyena was a dark type, but also that it was infected with this weird shadow disease.

He went to the nurse. "I have a very sick Poochyena. She is infected with this strange shadow disease and held in a quarantine box. Has there been any research on how to cure them?"

"I think I've heard of Mr. Stone," Alice said unsurely. "He collects rare rocks and stones. My dad might have sent him stuff he'd dug up once or twice, I can't really remember. I guess fossils could be included in that." That was all she knew.

It seemed like they were going to investigate whatever was going on in the city. Meg warned them to be ready to take on Ghost types.

"Ghost types?" Rocky said curiously. "We haven't had to deal with many of those so far. According to my Grandfather, you need a dark type to take down a ghost type."

Alice flipped on her Pokedex and checked through the Pokemon she had caught so far. She had Marionette and the Misdreavus she'd caught, but the two ghosts would also be weak to other Ghost types. Like Rocky, she had a single Dark type, a Houndour, but it too was a shadow Pokemon. She listened in as Rocky asked the nurse about his Shadow Poochyena. If they couldn't heal the Pokemon here, Alice would have to rely on her regular Pokemon to be strong enough. She wished they each had a key stone to go along with their new mega stones right about now.

This made Rose feel a bit better, but it didn't completely convince her. "I find it hard to believe that pokemon would have malicious intent." Meghan said as she continued explaining.

Rose disagreed with this assessment. She could sense something in this town. It didn't feel like Dredd, but she wasn't sure if she should be relieved or concerned by that fact. At least if it was Dredd, they would have known what to expect. Rocky said that dark types are strong against ghost types, but Rose didn't have any dark types. Rose didn't exactly want to go chasing after whatever was in this town, but if they didn't who was?

"If we go in there... I think that we need to be ready for the possibility that there is something very strong there." Rose suggested.

As the group discussed how to proceed, it was decided they should search the tower. Rocky mentioned that dark types worked best against ghost pokemon, but he didn't have any ghosts types and he didn't think he needed them. Brandon knew there is always more then one effective type against any type of pokemon and even if a pokemon isnt that effective against the that type, doesnt mean they cant beat that type. The only types that dont effect ghost types, to Brandon's knowledge, was normal type pokemon and maybe ground or rock or fighting types but that is it. The rest should do some sort of damage. Brandon had confidence that his current pokemon team would be able to protect him should he or the group be attacked by any wild ghost pokemon inside the tower.

As the approached the door to leave Meghan paused and looked back. The nurse still just stood there in a haze. She then looked towards the door As the doors slide open the wind and rain immediately swept in. Meghan grabbed a newspaper from a stand near the inside of the door and covered her head and started to run. Within seconds each of them was soaking wet. The team ran through town trying to find the closest building to the Pokemon Center that was open and rushed in.

As they walked in soaking wet they noticed they were in a PokeMart.

"Brrr" Meghan said trying to shake off some of the water.

"Pokemart? Huh..."

(You guys can shop if need be now.)

" Ill look for an umbrella or poncho" She said checking out the store for something.

After coming up short handed Meghan and the others asked for direction to the tower. The fog was getting thicker outside. With a simple point in the right direction the team ran through the furious storm towars the tower which hung over the whole town silently. When they reached the huge stairway leading up they rushed up. The doors were so heavy Rocky had to step in frong of everyone and plant his feet to get the doors to open. As the others pushed to support him the team fell into the Pokemon Tower all landing on Rocky before all jumping up and patting themselves off.

"Is this place open to the public or just to body builders." Meghan joked softly to not disturb this place of mourning.
