Having not much battle experience herself, seeing as they were surrounded by Rockets. Marcela was rather scared but seeing Brandon fight the way he did, had sparked in her a will to battle too. Aside from Amirah, who she couldn't afford to risk fainting, Rose was completely out of Pokemon. There was nothing left she could do. Looking around, she saw that everyone else was more or less in the same position. A tear ran down from her eye. Why hadn't she just stayed back? Or maybe if everyone had come, maybe there would have been enough of them to take on Team Rocket? It didn't matter any more. They were completely defeated.

Meghan put her hands up encouraging the others to do the same. Any further actions could result in physical harm.


"Cuff them...."

The grunts moved in pulling them away from each other and bouding their wrists. Meghan struggled to make her way next to Rose.
"Get your hands off of her !!" She screamed.


As the group was moved forward they could now see the rest of the battle. Dozens of grunts were battling and taking down the bikers. In the center of the mess was two flipped over trucks. They could see a figure kicking the the broken window off. Max climbed out of the truck. He looked injured and angry with his hands still cuffed.

He scanned the area but could only see the battle going down. As he stood their a second wave of grunts came rushing in. As the grunts about 50 deep rushed towards him Max simply lifted up his hands and let out a very loud distinctive whistle. The whistle was almost peaceful if not for the violence surrounding it. As he continued the sky began to grow very bright and something appeared to break through the bright blue cloud cover.



All the fighting stopped as grunts stood in awe.

Max smiled.
'About time!" He said kicking a few of the grunts off the truck.


Ho-Oh flew in straight for Max. Nuzzling the trainer head.

It then turned towards the grunts who didnt seem to be smart enough to back up.



The magestic Ho-Oh used a fire blast only strong to burn some cloth and give any one not fleeing a 1st degree burn as a warning. It also made the pokemon run away from their trainers and tkae off into the woods. The grunts chased after their pokemon trying to call them back.

Max jumped down with Ho-Oh in the air above. He checked on the hurt bikers first. Pull JPO up.

JPO laid their smiling.

"Arcues damn that was some tussle..." He laughed pushing himself up.

THe other bikers seemed to be doing fine. Max didnt see the group at first but as he helped hte bikers up the small army of 40 Plus Grunts appeared unified behind the girl grunt. Who had pulled Alice in front of her. She held a knife to the trainers throat.

JPO growled
"I hate to threaten a lady but if you dont take that point that thing somewhere else..you're going to lose that hand.."

Max took a deep breath oddly calm.
"Their could be a thousand of you..and you wouldn't stand a chance. Drop it and take of.."

The grunt pressed the knife harder.

"We dont want these kids. We want you...and maybe you are right about taking all of us on but you nor your legend can do anything to stop me for cutting her before you ever get to me."

During the battle Marcela, Nathan and Brandon were all defeated and taken hostage along with the other bikers.


The girl sent a grunt forward with a video of Brandon and the others being held.


Max paused looking up at his old friend.
"My lord..thank you for your help...I can take it from here." He smiled.


She paused looking at her old friend.
" Please my lord...these people had planned for this. No need in potentailly hurting my friends. I can handle myself." He said running his hand along her beak.

With that Ho-Oh took off vanishing into the sky.

Brandon was cuffed and put with the bikers, Nathan and Marcela. They took out a video camera and filmed them, Brandon made a series of facial expressions he hoped the others would read in code. He wondered if they were doing alright. He looked at Marcela and said "You didn't have to that, this wasn't your fight. You stayed anyway, thanks, if you ever need anything let me know". Then he turned back to the leaders of the small army, he said calmly "So you would really lock up a bunch of kids to cover your good for nothing arses?" he paused shaking his head in disapproval "You guys know what you did. You know that I know what you did. I just wanted to say that is the most cowardly thing I have ever heard, if you did something, you should own up to it. Not frame a few innocent kids". He said this all calmly but steadily. He also took the time to confirm what he was suspecting "Did the champion's convoy make it through alright? Or was it stopped? Did you all get your arses kicked by meddling kids again? Or did you actually win something for once?" .


He kept looking at the leaders the whole time. He was not paniced or worked up, he was just stright up calm as did all this.

The lead grunt stuffed a rag into Brandons mouth to shut him up. He paused.
"Now thats more like it."

A van pulled up and Nathan, Marcela, Her bonsly and the Brandon where thrown on it. Once in the back they were unable to move.

"Kid you put up a sad fight.' The man laughed.

"I hate to say it but this little girl seems like a stronger trainer." He said mocking Brandon.

He picked one of the pokeball of his belt.
"So do you think its just weak pokemon..or just a weak trainer?" He smiled looking at his partner.

Rose followed Meghan's lead, putting her hands in the air. She closed her eyes, a single tear running from her eye down her cheek. Her terror had dulled to a sad resignation. She felt worn out and defeated. There was nothing left for her to do. The grunts handcuffed her and Meghan yelled not to touch her, but she didn't say a thing. They hadn't touched Amirah yet, but she knew they would. She had failed to notice Max until he whistled.

Rose couldn't see the glow in the sky, but she sensed something as the legendary bird approached. She didn't know what she was sensing, but it was unlike anything she had ever sensed before. It came down from the sky and Rose sensed it's shape. It was the same shape from Max's projection he had shown the crowd. She couldn't believe it. It gave off an energy of some sort that Rose had never sensed before. She didn't even know how to describe it. It made her think of fire.

She stared in awe as it attacked the grunts, driving them and their Pokemon off. Then she noticed the Rocket that grabbed Alice. She wanted to tell Amirah to her, but this was much more serious than the last time she had told Amirah to do that. If something happened and her attack was noticed, it would cost Alice her life. She couldn't risk something like that. Max was there. He could handle the situation.

Alice surrendered by putting her hands up as Meg suggested. She was cuffed immediately and shoved roughly forward with the others.

Alice watched with relief as Max climbed out of one of the armoured tanks. He was alive! But even for Max, defeating hundreds of Rockets at once would be a big ask.

And then Ho-Oh appeared. It all happened so fast that Alice could hardly register what was happening. Everything around them went up in flames. Alice felt someone grab her from behind, and then something cool and sharp was pressed to her neck. She tried to recoil, but the grunt held her tightly.

Max and JPO stood in front of her, trying to reason with the grunt. Alice couldn't hear what they were saying. She felt light headed, doing her best not to move an inch while the knife hovered at her throat. She forced herself to focus on Max's oddly calm face, eyes wide, and breathe.
