Roaring Skies, the next TCG set, is about to be release in the US and the skies the limit! So many new cards will be introduced to the TCG and one of them is Rayquaza. Not just one! But way too many of them!
That is why we have a battle featuring World Renowned Heretic who is pitting dragon vs dragon! This is the battle to watch! Heretic is playing a deck that revolves around the Dragon M Rayquaza EX while Justin is playing with the Normal M Rayquaza EX.
Heretic is using the Dragon M Rayquaza EX deck which uses the mighty Dragon Ascent attack to do a massive 300 damage on the opponent’s Pokemon. This deck uses many different ways to power up this powerful attack such as a new Reshiram card, Mega Turbo and Double Dragon Energy. Shaymin EX is in this deck to help give draw power thanks to it’s Set Up ability. With the right cards, this deck will ascend to the skies and cause destruction on your opponent’s side of the battlefield.
Next we have Justin playing the Normal M Rayquaza EX deck which plans to fly though the sky with it’s Emerald Break attack and the Ancient Train, Delta Evolution. You can get M Rayquaza EX on your bench during your first turn thanks to Delta Evolution which allows you to evolve it the same turn you place it down. Justin also uses Shaymin EX for draw power and to fill up his bench. Altaria and Ninetails are also there to help fill up the bench as well to play a special role in this decks’ success. Once you have your bench all filled up then you can use M Rayquaza EX’s Emerald Break attack to do 30 times the number of Pokemon on your bench. That is 150 damage to your opponent’s active Pokemon. Things can get crazier with the Sky Field Stadium card which allows you to have an eight Pokemon bench. With eight Pokemon on the bench, M Rayquaza EX can hit for 240 damage which knocks out any Mega Pokemon. Normal M Rayquaza EX is really planning to break out thanks to all these cards.
