Grookey and Buizel come to Pokémon Café Mix!

Check out what all is new in the latest Pokémon Café Mix update!

Two new updates have arrived for Pokémon Café Mix! With them come new mechanics, new dishes, and new Pokémon to recruit! So let’s get right into it shall we?

Special Customer Grookey

Following Dragonite’s departure as the Special Customer, Grookey is now available! The Galar Grass-type starter will be available for recruitment until August 26. To recruit it, you need to encounter it at least once during the event period and then continue to invite it until recruited. Grookey specializes in sweet dishes and their skill clears Pokémon icons and gimmicks to the right. With such a cute lil guy available for recruitment, be sure to get Grookey before they’re gone!

Buizel now available!

With new stages comes new Pokémon! Buizel is the latest of the new customers available for players to recruit during the mainline gameplay. They are available after Stage 230. The water-type Pokémon specializes in Sweet Dishes and their skill clears Pokémon icons and gimmicks diagonally. Buizel is sure to be a big help with one of the two new dishes introduced in this update as well. With such an adorable face ready to come to your aid, be sure to recruit Buizel once you get the chance!

New Offerings and Gimmicks

Two new dishes are now available in Pokémon Café Mix and along with them come two new gimmicks! The first new dish is the Eiscue Caprese Salad which is a Small Plate dish that typically makes use of the new Olive gimmick. The Olive gimmick requires that players make a combo next to an Olive two times, or with 1 skill, to clear it. Upon clearing, all nearby icons will be covered in Olive Oil.

The second new dish is the Rimbombee Chocolate Cake which is a Sweets dish that typically makes use of the Chocolate gimmick. The new Chocolate gimmick requires that players make a combo next to a Chocolate five times, or with 1 skill, to clear it. It is also worth noting that the chocolate pieces cannot be moved.

Other Updates

Several other new updates are also now available. These are mostly UI updates and smaller changes that do not warrant their own section. They include:

  • All Pokémon are now able to reach Level 3.
  • Stages 51-150 have been adjusted.
  • Munchlax is no longer as heavy and can move better.
  • The hitbox after clearing combos is now larger in order to take out gimmicks.
  • You now get a better view on if a Pokémon isn’t ideal for an order.
  • You will no longer use a move when you tap a Pokémon.

So with all that’s now available, order up, Trainers!
