Introducing the Alola Photo Club!

A new feature has been revealed for UltraSun and UltraMoon.

While we wait anxiously to hear more about the new features of the Alola region, one piece of information has been revealed. In a Game Informer interview with Kazumasa Iwao, the Alola Photo Club was revealed! The Alola Photo Club is a new feature that allows players to take pictures in different costumes and poses with the Pokémon in their party. There are different filters, frames, clothes, and more that are unlocked as players progress through the games. The creators hope that this will allow players to make memories of their journey in Alola and create a stronger bond to their Pokémon partners.

Generally, players must go to the photo studio to take photographers. However, if a special Pokémon evolves, players are able to automatically enter the mode to take pictures and capture the moment. Players are then able to decorate the scene with props such as glasses, ribbons, and more.

Another interesting part of this feature is that players are able to move their Pokémon and avatar around in respect to the camera, rather than just having them stay in one place for the picture. The Pokémon will strike various poses based on the animations their 3D models have in game and players can strike different Z-Moves poses based on their progression through the game and what Z-Crystals they have.

Kazumasa Iwao encouraged players to transfer over their Pokémon from Sun and Moon to take pictures with them and share all their creations online. He looks forward to seeing what everyone creates and what bonds everyone shares with their Pokémon.
