Let’s Go Catch Legendaries and More!

Legendary Pokemon
Legendary Pokemon and more! As you go and catch’em all!

A new round of news from Pokemon Let’s Go. This time we get details on catching Legendary Pokemon and the GO Park!

Catching Legendary Pokemon

Zapdos
As trainers travel Kanto, they will be given the chance to capture Legendary Pokemon- Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. This experience will be different compare to how you capture Pokemon in Let’s Go. Trainers will be expected to battle these Pokemon. Only then will they be given the opportunity to capture these powerful Pokemon. Just watch out! These encounters will have a time limit. You will only have five minutes to defeat Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres in battle. If you do then you can capture these Legendary Birds.

The battling and capturing mechanic to acquire Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres sounds similar to Raid Battles in Pokemon GO. In Pokemon GO, trainers only have two minutes to battle a Raid Pokemon. Only if they defeat the Pokemon then they will be given the chance to capture it.

GO Park

Go Park
Pokemon trainers can transfer Pokemon from Pokemon GO into their Let’s Go games. They can do this by a Bluetooth connection. Once they have done that then their Pokemon from Pokemon GO can join them in Let’s Go.

Pokemon that are transfer to Let’s Go from Pokemon GO will end up being in the GO Park located in Fuchsia City. It sounds as if the GO Park will be replacing the Safari Zone that were in the original Generation 1 games.

The GO Park will have 20 individual parks that can hold 50 Pokemon. If you wish to take a Pokemon out of the GO Park to join you on your adventure then you will need to capture the Pokemon. There is also no limit to how many Pokemon GO accounts can be tied to one Let’s Go game.

If you have 25 of the same Pokemon then you can play mini-games with that Pokemon. By playing these mini-games, you can earn more candy to help power up your Pokemon.

Lastly, you can even transfer Alola Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Let’s Go.

Powering Up with Candy

Candy
Trainers can make their Pokemon stronger by battling but also by feeding them candy! Trainers can receive candy by transferring Pokémon to Professor Oak, successfully completing games in the GO Park complex’s Play Yard or by taking Pokémon for a stroll via the Poké Ball Plus.

By feeding your Pokemon candy, they can power up specfic stats of their Pokemon. Some candy will power up Attack while others will raise their Defense.

Alolan Pokemon

According to Serebii, trainers can trade with trainers from Alola for Alolan forms of Kanto Pokemon. It seems that this is how trainers can acquire Alolan variants of certain Pokemon.
Looks like there is plenty of fun to have in Let’s Go! Below is a video about the latest news.
