New Pokémon GO Patch Goes Live

A few new tweaks have gone live for the app!

This update has started rolling out on the Play Store for Android and will be available to more players over the coming days, with iOS likely in a few days. This update contains a variety of fixes and features. They are as follows:

Lucky Pokémon – A new tag has been added for Pokémon in the Pokédex indicating a new style of Pokémon, Lucky Pokémon. These have half Stardust requirements to Power Up. They can only be obtained through trading. It has been confirmed that the longer Pokémon have been in storage when traded, the more likely they are to become Lucky Pokémon. The images also show that the discount can be even more than half.

Friend List – You now have the ability to nickname your friends. There’s also a new Sorting feature where you can sort friends by Name, Friendship Level or if they have a Gift for you. You can also check the PokéStop a received gift is from on the map.

Gifts – You can now discard gifts if you do not wish to give a gift from a certain location or if you just want to clear your inventory. Sending gifts now gives 200XP and Stardust can now be received in gifts.

Raid Battles – The list will now allow you to scroll if there are more than 6 Raid Battles nearby. The list will also now display the time remaining for raids which are active without you having to check the Gym.

Pokémon List – You have the ability to search specifically for Traded Pokémon
