Ohio State Athletic Band Performs Pokemon

Pikachu March
This past weekend was Ohio State’s annual “spring game” where they show off to their fans what can look forward to in the fall with a scrimmage game. Though the real show may have been during halftime when the Ohio State Athletic Band took the field.

The Ohio State Athletic Band took the field during halftime to perform a show that many fans may remember from their childhood. Their performance was an eight minute montage of featuring theme songs from several cartoon theme songs. Some of these songs included not only our favorite franchise Pokemon but also: Tiny Toons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and Beetlejuice.

During the Pokemon segment of the performance, the marching band formed a Pikachu head with moving ears, eyes and mouth. They preform the iconic first opening theme song and during the song you can hear Pikachu singing along. The segment ends with Pokemon being written across the field.

You can watch the Ohio State Athletic Band full performance below. Enjoy!
