A new trailer has been showcased on the Pokemon YouTube channel, internationally revealing Mega Camerupt, Mega Sharpedo, and Mega Gallade, as well as information on Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Click “Read More” to see the trailer!
Firstly, Primal Groudon has the new ability Desolate Land. This ability activates a very harsh sunlight, sunlight that cannot fade or be changed until Primal Groudon faints or is returned to its Pokeball. This weather also evaporates all Water-type attacks. Primal Kyogre has a similar ability, Primordial Rain. With this ability, heavy rain is summoned and will not disperse until Primal Kyogre is returned to its Pokeball or fainted, and Fire-type attacks fizzle out in the rain.
Following the reveal of their abilities, Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre have received one new move each. Primal Groudon receives a move called Precipice Blades, which can hit multiple targets. Primal Kyogre has the new move Origin Pulse, which also hits multiple targets.
It also is confirmed that Maxie, the leader of Team Magma, will Mega Evolve his Camerupt into Mega Camerupt, and Archie, leader of Team Aqua, will Mega Evolve his Sharpedo into Mega Sharpedo. Wally will Mega Evolve his Gallade into Mega Gallade as well.
Lastly, a demo version has been confirmed. This demo will be released next month, and will allow players an early look at Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. In the demo, players will select Grovyle, Combusken, or Marshtomp to use. It appears players will start out in Mossdeep City, and will aid Steven in some way. Team Aqua and Team Magma are also present in the demo. A new never-before-seen Mega Evolution will also be revealed in the demo. Finally, it is also stated that something special will happen if the demo is played everyday, and there are unlimited plays to the demo.
