One Million People Have Now Downloaded Pokemon Shuffle

After being available for only a week, Nintendo’s newest Pokemon game Pokemon Shuffle has reached one million downloads. To celebrate, everyone who ‘Checks In’ on the game will receive a free power-up Complexity-1. Check In is available after completing Stage 10.

The “free to play” game involves battling different Pokemon by matching up tiles. Pokemon can then be caught and added to the team for use in future battles. Each battle requires the use of a heart, and when these hearts run out, players must wait half an hour to play again. Alternatively, items and hearts can be purchased using real money. Although the game can be completed without paying anything, many Pokemon would be incredibly difficult to defeat and catch.

Pokemon Shuffle was developed by Genius Sonority, the team behind Pokemon Trozei, and bears similarities to Battle Trozei. Pokemon Shuffle is the first “free to play” Pokemon game and can be downloaded on 2DS/3DS/N3DS systems from the Nintendo eShop.
