Pikachu has been made a co-ambassador for Osaka’s bid to host the World expo in 2025.Japan’s Foreign Minister granted the honor to both Pikachu and Hello Kitty, who are of course part of Japan’s arguably two most marketable properties. While Japan is touting their advancements in health as something to build their bid on for the Expo.
Osaka faces competition from cities such as Baku, Azerbaijan, Ekatarinburg, Russia, Houston, USA and Paris, France for the right to host.
