Podcast Central: 5 Years Later

Podcaast Central
Five years is a long time and this is especially true when it comes to podcasting. Five years ago, podcasting was bray making it’s mark in pop culture and in everyday medium. People were just beginning to think about podcasting as a leisurely activity and a few were thinking about jumping into the medium. Some had ideas to make a podcast to discuss topics that started with a specific letter while others wanted to make them to talk about their favorite subject.

There were some podcasts that decided to talk about Pokemon. There were many Pokemon podcasts that tried to make it big in the podcasting scene five years ago but not many stayed. Eventually, one finally finally broke out and kept creating many great episodes on a regular schedule. This help inspired many Pokemon related podcasts to come out to flood the airwaves. Now we have many Pokemon related podcasts to listen to!

It is amazing how far podcasting has come along in the last five years.

Don’t touch that Totodile!

PKMNCast: Dusclops, Exploud, Cresselia– In case you didn’t know what inspired the blurb above then let me tell you it was all for PKMNCast. They celebrated their five year anniversary this past weekend!

SBJ and Micah are on the mic for this episode to talk about all the fun they had drawing all the Pokemon! Well, maybe not all of them but they sure did have fun. These two guys are going to talk about everything that happen on the 5th Anniversary Stream where Micah tries to draw all the Pokemon with the help of SBJ. There is talk of epic hand cramps, technical problems and plans for a future stream! There is also some talk about Pokken Tournament coming to an arcade near you! Will it be coming to Aladdin’s? P.U.C.L. Podcast: Pokemon Clones– Lets take a stroll down memory lane with Thatch and the council as they recall all the different Pokemon “clones”. What kind of clones? The games that tried to copy from Pokemon’s success of capturing and raising monsters to make profit. How much success did these clones have? Were they as strong as Mewtwo? Also hear their opinion about Yokai Watch and if this clone could put a clock on Pokemon’s success in the US. How many of the Pokemon clones that are mention in this podcast do you recall?

Pikapi Podcast: By The Sea! Do you guys remember how long it took Ash and the gang to get to Olivine City? Mako surely forgot as she was glad to see the anime hit a location that is on the game map. She was excited to finally see a gym match but imagine how surprise she will be upon the ending of this episode. It sounds like we are in for a long haul when it comes to Ash getting a badge and Mako is going to be in a nasty surprise. Just take a listen to Mako as she is ready for a gym battle. At least Mako has Arbok to keep herself entertained and pitying.

Really. Arbok has seen a lot of stuff and should probably think about a retirement plan.

Podcast Monsters: The Problem With Paras– Podmon Trainers Kacie, Andrew and Gabe are joined by River Douglas Clegg to see Meowth fall in love with a human girl. Do you remember this happening? Well our Podmon Trainers and their guest are in for an episode that may involve a hormonal Charmeleon and Ash attempting to do as little damage as he can to a problem Paras. Also, maybe evolution isn’t the solution and they are not talking about Charmeleon. Just take a listen to this podcast and be prepare to see what kind of evolution problems Paras has to deal with.

Gen 0 Podcast: New Tork City– Time to look at something that isn’t too old as Doug and Sean talk about “Genesect and the Legend Awakened” and “Eevee and Friends”. They talk about how Mega Stones has effected the series, how Pokemon loves to use fake deaths and how much one of the host may love Sableye a lot. This podcast really brings old and new together as the old Mewtwo faces off against the new Genesect. Maybe these Pokemon are not too different when it comes to their creation and we will see that as our movie duo discuss this movie! Also, hear as Shaymin may have stopped this podcast from ever happening!

The end is almost near.

PTCG Radio: Giant Plant Forest and Shiftry– Rossy takes a look at the past and future as he looks at Grass type Pokemon who will love to grow in Forest of Giant Plants. There are some cards from the set before Ancient Origins who may see some play while others are better off just skipping pass. Find out which cards are worth playing from pre-Ancient Origins and post!

Radio Whirlwind: Everything Must Be A Nuzlocke Within The Leagues of Johto– Illus talks to SleepyJirachi to talk about some leaks and Pokemon Symphonic Evolutions. It sounds like they had quite a fun time listening to some great music but there is more! There is also an interview where they look back at past times and future plans! Are there any hacks or fan-games coming soon? Just take a listen to find out!

Kanto Cast: The Zygarde Speculation Super Show Spectacular– Blue and Yellow talk about Xygarde thanks to some leaks from CoroCoro and a big mysterious figure that shows up at the end of the latest Pokemon movie from Japan! What kind of wild and crazy things will come from this talk? You will need to take a listen to find out! Also, stay tune for the latest news in the GBA Playoffs which includes some questionable plays from some big name figures. Make sure to listen to Yellow’s Gamelog as she travels though Unova and learns how much hurt Bianca can bring! Lastly, join Blue on his road to be ranked! Will he ever love Liepard and how bumpy will this road be?

The Dex! Podcast: SGCutman!-Live from SGC! At least a hotel that doesn’t have internet! The Dex! Crew are joined by DJ Cutman! No wifi means no Top Five but the crew and their guest talk about the news and how they all have been touched in one way or another by Pokemon. It is a really ‘sit around the campfire’ episode except there is no campfire.
