Welcome to A-kon 2015! One of the biggest and longest running anime conventions in North America! Do you know what that means? Tons of Pokemon cosplay! So be prepare to be amazed at all the wonderful cosplay that could be found during the weekend of June 5th to 7th in Dallas, Texas! From A-kon!
There was some real magic at A-kon 2015. There was something for everybody! The range of Pokemon cosplay went from Pokemon to human characters! Do you love Steven? We got those! Team Magma and Team Aqua? There was some of those! Mischievous Espurr? There was even some shipping magic to marvel upon. Below are some of my personal top picks from the amazing Pokemon cosplays at A-kon.
This Togekiss cosplay was just amazing! I love the one piece hoodie that this cosplayer had on and the goggles really do give you the impression that this fairy is able to fly quickly in the sky. It sure brought me great joy seeing this cosplay.
I really love unique and rarely cosplayed characters. So seeing this Phoebe cosplayer made me really happy. You rarely see Elite 4 members cosplayed but I guess there was so much Hoenn hype that we were bound to get one this year!
The pattern on Phoebe’s skirt is great to see. You can really see how much work was put into creating this cosplay.
Diantha is another rarely cosplayed character that I was glad to see at A-kon. This girl looked just as stylish as she does in the video games. You can tell that Diantha wins all the awards when it comes to her good tastes in clothes and accessories. That Premiere Ball is proof along with the Drifblim she carries around.
Ever wonder what a Dugtrio looks under the ground? I think we have a pretty good idea now.
One of the most amazing things about the Pokemon fandom is that they come in all ages. This cosplay of a Rocket Executive is proof of that! No matter how old you are, you can still be a Pokemon fan. Especially one who can cosplay and make awesome props such as a Steampunk Pokemon Catcher. That is an impressive feat! Just look at the detail of that prop!
Did I mention that there was some shipping magic? Well here is some right now! Expect to see more as you look at the pictures from the Pokemon photoshoot. Isn’t shipping amazing?

Lastly, my final pick from A-Kon! Registeel and Regice! It may be hard to tell who they are at first but simply look at their eyes and any dedicated Pokemon fan can tell who these two are! This is a unique take on these two Legendary Pokemon who are rarely seen in-game or cosplayed.
