Pokemon and Disney

disney-poke-17_large

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to merge both Pokemon and Disney? Well, I certainly have — and today, I bring you a selection of drawings from a very wonderful artist, Krista Nicholson — or better known as Kuitsuku on her DeviantArt account. She has brilliantly merged the best of both worlds and displays them with such ease. She draws her works in Flash CS5 and Photoshop CS5 and is a full-time graphics artist! Drawing, animating, and character design are but a few hobbies of Krista’s passion. Without further ado, it’s time to showcase her brilliant artwork! Check it out after the break!

Our first featured picture is called “Part of your…world?” and is one of my absolute favorites. The expressions of both Magikarp and Ariel are priceless and it seems that Magikarp is quite flabbergasted. Ariel’s curiosity is beautifully portrayed and fits her well in this piece. Overall, this drawing gets a standing ovation from myself, personally.

Our second featured picture is called “Mad Tea Party” and it greatly displays the Cheshire Cat’s mischievous personality and Gengar’s mysterious tone. Alice in Wonderland fits Gengar perfectly — as if he belonged to their world all along. Overall, this piece displays a wonderful duo that I would personally pay to see.

Our third featured drawing is called “A whole new…world?” and it shows Jasmine’s love of small feathery creatures — such as our Pokemon hero, Pidgey. The two seem like a perfect fit and would have been a perfect duo if the two coexisted in the same realm. Pidgey’s priceless expression is what makes this picture feel warm and cuddly and definitely brings the softer side of Jasmine out.

Finally, our last featured picture is called “Hakuna…Matata?” and it showcases the playful Shinx with Simba from The Lion King. The two seem so similar when put together and they would have definitely hit it off right away. The only question is if Simba would put up with Shinx’s constant electrical surges when they played. Overall, this piece glorifies the playfulness of Shinx and shows what a great partner he would have been to our young lion prince.
