MoreAliA is a YouTuber who has gone out to make videos showing game play of “Pokémon Go.” His video, Pokemon GO Gameplay – GYM BATTLES & HOW TO EVOLVE!, discusses gyms and evolving Pokémon in the game. Before getting into his new video, he recaps what happened in his first video where he started his Pokémon journey. To hit level 5, he evolves a Pidgey into a Pidgeotto. Once he hits level 5, he goes on to join Team Mystic upon his first arrival to a gym. He goes on to show a gym battle that he manages to win, but he is unable to take over the gym as he didn’t fully lower its prestige.
The video has some misinformation, such as how he mentions that there are eggs of 2km, 5km, and 8km versus eggs of 2km, 5km, and 10km, but this is to be expected as the video was made when the game was just being released; players were still learning about the game and therefore didn’t know everything about the game at the time. There was also a bit of hype about how he got the gym, but he noted in the video that he had to lower the gym’s prestige in order to get the gym. The information about the eggs was not corrected in this video.
