New research task
Research Tasks, Gengar and Adventure Sync! Oh my!

Plenty of news for Pokemon GO came out last week! It can be pretty hard to follow! That is why we have all the great Pokemon GO news in one place! From Research Tasks, Gengar and syncing!

November Research Tasks

Starting on November 1st, trainers will see a brand new set of Research Tasks. These Research Tasks will feature plenty of Bug type quests for trainers to do!

If trainers can get enough Research Stamps then they will get the chance to capture Shedinja! This Pokemon is a Bug/Ghost type Pokemon. It has plenty of unique characteristics such as having a single HP and unique ability to take any hits. There is no idea how Shedinja will translate to Pokemon GO.

It has also been confirmed that trainers could possibility catch Caterpie as a shiny starting in November.

Gengar Raid Day

Pokemon GO Trainers are currently in the middle of the 2018 Halloween Event. It ends on November 1st but the spookiness doesn’t stop! That is because there will be a special Gengar Raid Day on Saturday, November 3rd.

Players will have three hours to catch Gengar in Raids. They will be give five free Premiere Raid Passes. Trainers will have the chance to catch Shiny Genger if they are able to defeat Gengar in a raid. Lastly, any Gengar capture during the three hour Raid window will know Psychic.

Below are the times for the Gengar Raid Day.

The Asia-Pacific region: 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. JST
Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India: 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. UTC
The Americas and Greenland: 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. PST

Adventure Sync

Adventure Sync
Trainers in Pokemon GO will soon be able to activate Adventure Sync. This new mode will allow players to track their distance when Pokémon GO isn’t launched. That means trainers can tally your distance, earn Candy, and hatch Eggs when the game is working in the background.

Adventure Sync isn’t in the game yet but trainers can opt into it whenever. They can also connect to both Apple Health on Apple devices and Google Fit on Android devices using Adventure Sync.
