Somebody could be entering the Hall of Fame soon!
The World Video Game Hall of Fame has taken nominations for the 2017 class and Pokemon was one of the many to make the cut. The original Pokemon Red & Blue games were nominated to this year’s list after sparking a franchise that has lasted 20 years, aired a Super Bowl commercial and has given people of all ages the chance to travel the world from their handheld.
The final selection won’t be announced until May but if Pokemon is selected to join the Hall of Fame then it will join the ranks of those like Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pac-Man.
