Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon CONFIRMED!

Sun and Moon

A Pokémon Direct was held by Nintendo on the morning of February 26th. Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO and President of The Pokémon Company, hosted the event. It celebrated the 20th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green’s release in Japan and announced the worldwide release of the next main series game titles, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!

The games will be available for Nintendo 3DS “Holiday 2016,” presumably sometime in October, November or December. Pokémon from the digital copies of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow, available in the Nintendo eShop on February 27th, will be transferable to Pokémon Sun and Moon through Pokémon Bank. The games will be playable in nine languages, adding Traditional and Simplified Chinese to the previous seven. The video presentation played during the Pokémon Direct also showed images of concept art and designs unrecognized from past Pokémon games, including a Flying Pokémon, a Pokémon Center, a large white building and some kind of automobile.
