The weekend of August 9th though 11th marks the Pokemon World Championship in Vancouver, Canada. Trainers from all over the world will gather in the Vancouver Convention Centre to prove that they have what it takes to become the Champion in their respected divisions. Players from the Trading Card Game and Video Game Competition have all received their invites and going to put everything on the line to take part in this intense competition.
There will be many things to do at Worlds Championships. For those who didn’t received their invites, there is a Last Chance Qualifier. The top eight of the TCG and the top four of the VGC will all receive invites to take part in the World Tournaments the following day.
The tournament will be streamed lived on Twitch TV for those who are unable to attend. It will have live matches, commentary from respected individuals and many other things live from Worlds. It will all lead up to the final matches in the TCG and VGC on Sunday.
A special event Pokemon will be given out at Worlds this year. A Smeargle will be distributed that was specify made for catching. This Smeargle will know False Swipe, Spore, Mean Look and Odor Sleuth with EV distribution in Speed and Attack.
