Heya, Everybody!
For those who haven’t heard, PXR recently opened up a section on the forum dedicated to Pokemon TCG related talk! If you’ve ever wanted to talk about anything relating to the TCG- whether it’s the online version or not- come by! We’re open to deck reviews, trading, strategy discussion, etc. New to the TCG or interested in getting started? We’ll help you get started! It’s always a pleasure to have fellow TCG nerds to chat with!
To celebrate the (so far) successful launch of the TCG section as well as the end of this season’s rotation and the upcoming Ancient Origins set, I’m hosting a small PXR based TCGO contest! We will be using the standard play format- meaning any cards from Boundaries Crossed through Roaring Skies will be viable for this contest. Banned cards like Lysandre’s Trump card will remain banned. The contest will use a point-based system instead of a normal tournament layout like in the TCGO- so even if you lose a game, you won’t get eliminated and will still be able to play for first place!
The deadline to sign-up for the contest will be Augiust 1st- so be sure to submit your deck lists to Nekomata before then! The contest will run from August 2nd all the way through the 26th to allow people as much time to organize matches with one another! Remember- this is mostly for fun! Even if you’re a newbie who is still learning the ropes- please don’t be afraid to join in!
Prizes will be codes that can be redeemed on the TCGO for Ancient Origins booster packs! Everyone who participates will get one code just for joining- but the first place prize is a nice eight pack codes!
