Time to hit the pedal to the metal in Pokemon GO!
It is time for a rotation of the Legendary Raid bosses in Pokemon GO! And in raids! This past Thursday saw a changing of the raid bosses as Registeel started to appearing with others as well!
Registeel Raids
You can now expect to see Registeel replacing Regice in Level 5 Raids. Registeel is the Steel member of the Regi Trio and just as durable. This Pokemon know attacks like Metal Claw and Rock Smash as Fast attacks. Registeel has Flash Canon, Focus Blast and Hyper Beam as his Charged moves. He will have plenty of defenses to take hits. Make sure you go against him using many strong attacks.
Pokemon.com recommend using Pokemon like Charizard and Moltres. Both of these Pokemon have powerful Fire attacks that will hit Registeel for super effective damage. They also resist most of Registeel’s attacks. Other strong Fire types will do a great job against the Steel golem.
Other options against Registeel could be Fighting and Ground type Pokemon. Machamp, Breloom and Groudon will be the best options to challenge Registeel.
Those who can defeat Registeel in a Raid Battle will be given the chance to capture the Regi Pokemon.
Alolan Pokemon in Raids
There have been reports of Alolan Marowak and Alolan Raichu in raids. These are the last of the Alolan variants that were needed to be included in Pokemon GO.
Alolan Raichu can be found at Level Three Raids. This raid boss is expected to be quick but doable to take down in raids with the right battle party.
Alolan Marowak is going to be a Level Four Raid Boss. This Pokemon may not seem as strong but players should take it serious. You will need to take on Alolan Marowak with a party of Ghost or Water type Pokemon.
There have also been reports of Alolan Exeggcutor being spotted in Level Two Raids.

- Tier 1 – Charmander, Kabuto, Makuhita, Meditite, Omanyte, Wailmer
- Tier 2 – Alolan Exeggutor, Kirlia, Magmar, Mawile, Sudowoodo
- Tier 3 – Alolan Raichu, Donphan, Flareon, Machamp, Onix, Porygon
- Tier 4 – Absol, Aggron, Alolan Marowak, Golem, Houndoom, Tyranitar
- Tier 5 – Mewtwo, Registeel
