The Rock Dressed as Pikachu for Daughter

    It seems like The Rock has experience being Pikachu.

    Last week we reported that the shortlist for the Detective Pikachu movie had some heavyhitters on it. One of those big stars included Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It turns out that the wrestler turn actor has experience being everybody’s favorite yellow electric mouse.

    Back in April, Johnson don a Pikachu costume to surprise his young daughter. It turns out that his one year old daughter is a big Pikachu fan and enjoyed the surprise visit from Pikachu. Below is a video that shows Johnson chasing his daughter in the Pikachu costume. You can even hear her call out “Pikachu”.

    The first time Jasmine’s favorite character, Pikachu came to visit her months ago she was only crawling. For Easter Sunday @laurenhashianofficial and I thought, Pikachu should make a special visit once again. Well, Pikachu didn’t account for the fact that now Jazzy RUNS and for 2hrs straight she wants to play her new favorite game, “I run away and you chase me Pikachu. And you’re not allowed to take a break until I go night night”. At the end of the vid you can hear her yell, “Peekyu” because she can’t say, Pikachu. I’m tired, today’s my only day off, it’s 118 degrees in this costume and Hobbs keep trying to p*ss on my leg. And I luv every minute of it. Bring it on. It’s what daddy’s do.     This isn’t the first time The Rock has put on the Pikachu costume. He had first put it on Halloween 2016 to give his one year old daughter a surprise visit from Pikachu. Clearly she was excited for a return visit.

    Maybe The Rock would be open to playing Pikachu if it means the role would put a smile on his daugther’s face.
