TCG Jump: Featured Match- Malamar/Sableye Deck!

Trick Shovel
Earlier this week, we reviewed a deck that focus on annoying the opponent though hand disruption. This week in TCG Jump, we are going to do a tie-in with this article by featuring a match using this deck by Pooka on The Top Cut that does the same thing. This should help give you an idea on how this deck works using Malamar. So click below to see Malamar/Sableye in action!

This deck will see Malamar do most of the attacking using Mental Trash. It uses a single Darkness energy to flip four coins. Your opponent will then discard a card from their hand for each tails that is flipped. This will lead to a difficult choice where your opponent will need to choose between which resources to discard. Victini with the Victory Star ability will be useful if you want to reflip coins for the chance to get much more favorable results.

Another card that this deck could use is Trick Shovel from FlashFire. This card allows you to take a look at the top card of either your opponent’s or your deck. You will then get the choice to either discard or place the card at the top of the deck. In this deck, it will be used to look at your opponent’s deck and discard Supporter and other useful cards that will allow your opponent the chance to gain a new hand and retaliate. You can then retrieve your used Trick Shovel by using Sableye‘s Junk Hunt to continue controlling your opponent’s draws. The idea is to keep your opponent from setting up to attack your Pokemon.

This is a nasty deck to go against once the set up is complete. Watch below as Pooka shows the deck in action.
