It is time for some mega intense battles in a new format! We are about to see a changing of the guard as cards will be rotated out to let some new ones hit the battlefield. Today we are featuring a battle using a deck that has a lot of promise. M Mewtwo EX and Garbodor!
Starting on September 1st, we will see rotation being enforced in the Pokemon TCG. That means cards from XY to Phantom Forces will need to be taken out of everybody’s decks if they wish to take part in tournaments in the Standard format. Cards like Battle Compressor, AZ, Xerosic Starling Megaphone, and the Night March Trio will be gone from the format.
This could open the gates for cards like M Mewtwo EX and Garbodor. M Mewtwo EX can hit some big numbers but had a weakness to Pumpkaboo who can knock it out thanks to Night March. Meanwhile, Garbodor couldn’t turn off abilities thanks to cards like Starling Megaphone and Xerosic who strip it of any Tools. Now these two cards can come together in an attempt to siege the format as Garbodor prevents abilities like Shaymin’s Setup to slow down the opponent. M Mewtwo EX can simply hit everything for big damage by slapping energy on it.
