Trading and Regice Coming to Pokemon GO!

Pokemon GO
Time to thaw out your friends to raid!

Pokemon GO has finally release trading, Friend Lists and a new Level 5 Raid Boss.

Trading and Friend List

Trading and Friend List features were added to Pokemon GO yesterday. At first the new feature was only for Level 40 players. Gradually it was dropped down to Level 30 players. It looks as if Pokemon GO is slowly rolling out the feature to players during the day. When it was first announced, it was said that you needed to be Level 10 to use these feature. There is no word on how long it will take until Level 10 players will be able to have access to trading and the Friend List.

If you wish to do a Standard Trade then it will cost 100 Stardust. If you want to trade Legendary Pokémon, Pokémon in the Pokédex and Shiny Pokémon then it will cost 20,000 Stardust. Lastly, if you want to trade for Legendary Pokémon or Shiny Legendary Pokémon you don’t have then it will cost 1,000,000 Stardust.

Remember, IVs and CP are rerolled for Pokemon you have received in trades. Be careful! Legendary Pokemon recieved via trade can have their IVs dropped to below the 10/10/10 IV spread minimum from when they were first captured.

Regice Raids

You can now participate in raids for Regice. The Iceburg Pokemon will now be seen in Level 5 Raids starting today.

This Ice type Pokemon is pretty defensive like his main series game counterpart. Make sure to hit him hard with his weakness. Be careful because Regice can use attacks like Earthquake and Focus Blast. These attacks can be used to take out his common Rock and Steel weaknesses. That means that Tyrantar and Steelix may need to stay home for these raids. You will need to depend on your Fire and Fighting type Pokemon such as Charizard and Machamp to take out Regice. Pokemon has made a Regice Raid guide which you can see by clicking here.

Regice will be in raids until July 19th. Regirock and Registeel will be in raids later in the summer.

Other Pokemon GO News

Solrock and Lunatone have now swap regions. Those in North America can now catch Lunatone. This is because of the Summer Solstice which was on June 21st.

Make sure to get out there and raid! Sounds like Pokemon GO did a good things by using raids to have trainers go out and add friends to their Friends List. Happy catching!
