Last week, Pokemon Twitter account was contacting Twitter users to send them a sneak peek though the mail. As promised, Pokemon has sent out the packages and the sneak peek has been revealed to be the reopening of PokemonCenter.com along with a large box of Pokemon related merchandise that can be found on the online store.
PokemonCenter.com was an online store which opened in 2002 that sold Pokemon merchandise. It had sold various Pokemon goods from plushies to t-shirts. The site was eventually closed in 2008 to focus working with retail partners.
Pokemon fans who received a packages from Pokemon also got a letter from The Pokemon Company’s president and CEO, Mr. Tsunekazu Ishihara. The letter announced the reopening of PokemonCenter.com to be on August 6th, 2014. According to the letter, there will be various brand new items on the site along side with merchandise that was once exclusive at Pokemon Centers in Japan.
